  Arrival in Sydney

  

  Arrival in Sydney and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. The city of Sydney is built on one of the most beautiful bays in the world. The main sites to discover are located near the city center. Explore the historic districts of Darling Harbour and The Rocks up to the Opera House, discover the bustling Asian life in Chinatown and Haymarket, as well as the fashion hotspot in Paddington with its pretty Victorian-style houses.   Visit of Sydney and the Opera.

  

  Half-day in Sydney with a French-speaking guide. Meet your French-speaking guide for a walk through places that can only be discovered on foot: the historic Rocks district, the birthplace of the Australian nation, with its unique architecture and many fascinating stories. Discover hidden alleys and listen to its tales, from the time of the settlers to present-day Sydney. Your tour includes a visit inside the Opera House for a complete and unforgettable experience of this Australian icon. End of the day at leisure. Overnight in Sydney.

  Sydney - Ayers Rock

  

  Transfer to Sydney airport and flight to Ayers Rock (not included), then shuttle transfer to your hotel. Excursion with a French-speaking guide to observe the sunset over Uluru: Head to Uluru (or Ayers Rock), where you will take a short walk allowing you to observe rock paintings left by Aboriginal ancestors. You will understand the importance of this sacred place for the Aboriginal people. At sunset, you can admire the sun setting over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. An aperitif will be served for you to enjoy the show. Overnight at Ayers Rock Resort.

  Ayers Rock - Kata Tjuta

  

  Guided tour with a French-speaking guide at sunrise around Uluru and Kata Tjuta: Early this morning, your guide will accompany you to watch the sunrise over Australia's iconic monolith. You will have your breakfast as a picnic. You will take a walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole, a semi-permanent water point where you will admire rock paintings. You will learn more about the legends of Liru (the venomous snake) and Kuniya (the python woman) that connect the Aboriginal people to this sacred rock. You will then visit another iconic site of the Red Centre, Kata Tjuta or the Olgas. 45 minutes from Ayers Rock, you will take a walk in the Walpa Gorge to discover these strange rock formations. • day 5

  Ayers Rock - Darwin - Bamurru Plains

  

  Transfer to the airport and flight to Darwin (not included). You will then take a small plane from Darwin and fly over spectacular plains and marshes before landing and heading to your lodge. You will stay at "Bamurru Plains". The experience is unique: you will discover the full power of these wild lands in complete tranquility. You will wake up facing vast untouched expanses, in the company of buffalo and kangaroos. All meals and drinks are included, as well as guided excursions and safaris. Overnight at Bamurru.

  Kakadu National Park

  

  You will set out to discover Kakadu National Park with its famous Aboriginal cultural sites. You will take an early morning flight to reach the rugged region of Jabiru, in the heart of Kakadu Park. You will visit the Ubirr site with its rock paintings listed as a World Heritage Site. You will take a walk on the "Narbdab" rocky spur, a magnificent viewpoint with, in the distance, Arnhem Land and its vast, still mysterious territory... Return by small plane around 5 p.m. to your lodge. Overnight at Bamurru Plains.

• day 7

  Bamurru Plains

  

  Day at Bamurru Plains where you can enjoy various excursions. You can choose from these different excursions: - a guided tour in a pick-up through the bush or on foot in the forest; - an airboat excursion, a small ultra-powerful propeller boat to travel through the wetlands and observe crocodiles up close; - a cruise on the Sampan River. These usually take place early in the morning or at the end of the day. Overnight at Bamurru Plains.

• day 8

  Bamurru Plains - Darwin

  

  Return by plane to Darwin and transfer to your hotel. Free time in Darwin. You can visit the very interesting Museum & Art Gallery, stroll and have lunch at Stokes Hill Wharf, or visit Crocosaurus Cove, where you can immerse yourself safely in a cage with a crocodile... In the late afternoon, if you are there on a Thursday or a Sunday, head to the folkloric Mindil Beach Market. Overnight in Darwin.

  Darwin - Cairns

  

  Transfer to the airport and flight (not included) to Cairns, where a transfer will take you to your lodge. THALA has two superb tropical pools, in the heart of an enchanting setting, as well as a spa where you can relax. It enjoys a magnificent position on a promontory, framed by one of the most beautiful private beaches: 2 km of white sandy beaches in a truly beautiful setting. Tropical forests, eucalyptus, coves, and mountains plunging into the sea are the ingredients of this fabulous natural landscape. Overnight at Thala Beach Nature Reserve.

  Cape Tribulation - Thala Reserve

  

  SMALL GROUP EXCURSION IN THE DAINTREE FOREST WITH ENGLISH-SPEAKING GUIDE: Departure to discover the Cape Tribulation region, where the rainforest meets the beach. You will take a cruise allowing you to observe birds and crocodiles in their natural habitat. You will then take a walk to discover this rainforest listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and recognized as one of the oldest in the world. With your guide, you will discover the fauna and flora of this unique environment and search for a rare and unique bird, the cassowary. You will then continue on to Cape Tribulation to enjoy its magnificent beaches and take a track to reach Emmagen Creek, where you can swim in its clear waters. Overnight at Thala Beach Nature Reserve.

  Thala Reserve

  

  At the Thala reception, you may have already noticed, there are many books about birds. The place is world-renowned by ornithologists. If you are interested, you can set out early in the morning to observe the local birdlife. A specialized staff member can organize this excursion for you. And you will have free time to enjoy the place. Overnight at Thala Beach Nature Reserve.

  Cairns - Orpheus Island

  

  Transfer to Cairns and flight to Townsville, from where you will have a helicopter transfer to Orpheus Island. 4-NIGHT STAY ON ORPHEUS ISLAND: Spending a few days on Orpheus is a rare privilege. Only 28 guests can set foot on this paradise island at the same time, which is otherwise deserted... During the 4 days of your stay, your program will be à la carte. You can choose from the various activities offered by this luxury establishment and enjoy its many services. Meals are also included and are accompanied by a selection of regional wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks.   On this second day, you can take part in one of the outdoor activities offered by the hotel or simply enjoy its magnificent pool. Night at Orpheus.

  Orpheus Island

  

  Enjoy this new day on the island. Also know that the Orpheus provides you with catamarans, small motorboats, kayaks, and snorkeling equipment! You can therefore explore the island and its surroundings as you wish, at your own pace and in complete tranquility. Numerous secluded bays guarantee you new discoveries every day. Night at Orpheus.

  Orpheus Island

  

  Today again, you will be able to freely enjoy Orpheus Island and the hotel facilities. After a day spent exploring the island or its coral reefs, you will enjoy a delicious "mod’oz" dinner, prepared with local products. This dinner can even be served to you on a private pontoon (optional), from where you can watch the tide and the stars... All in all, a wonderful way to end your stay on this dream island!   Orpheus Island - Townsville

  

  After breakfast, you will still have a little time to enjoy this extraordinary island... and say goodbye to the exceptional destination that is Orpheus. You will then take your flight to return to the mainland and connect with your international flight.
