FROM ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARKUpon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by our Herbivore African Expeditions representative and transferred to your hotel to be fully ready for your morning safari. ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE You will head to Tarangire National Park, the place where life began according to Maasai legend. There you will see African elephants, probably large herds basking under the baobabs or cooling off near a waterhole. Dinner and evening at Tarangire National Park. Overnight at the campsite / public campsite.
day 2
TARANGIRE / SERENGETI NATIONAL PARKIn the morning, you will enjoy a short safari in Tarangire before heading to one of Africa's most famous wildlife parks, Serengeti National Park. It is here that millions of wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras make their home during what is often called "the great migration". This landscape dotted with vast plains will also allow you to observe lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and many other species of animals characteristic of Tanzania and the African continent! Overnight at the Public Campsite.
day 3
Serengeti National ParkToday, you will go on an excursion to explore the Serengeti. You will have lunch as a picnic. This day will be an opportunity to see many animals, including the famous “Big Five”: lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, rhinoceroses… as well as other animals that make up this diverse and rich African wildlife, such as giraffes, zebras, antelopes... Overnight at the public campsite.
day 4
FROM SERENGETI TO NGORONGOROYou leave at dawn to admire even more animals in their natural habitat, before taking shelter from the scorching sun! After a few hours of wildlife observation in the Serengeti, you head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for the night. Night at Simba, a public campsite.
day 5
NGORONGORO CRATERIn the morning, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the African "Garden of Eden." Ngorongoro is unique because it concentrates a large part of the wildlife within its "walls." You will easily be able to admire many animals. The rhinoceros, in particular, can be seen regularly, as well as prides of lions and other predators such as the cheetah. Enjoy lunch by a hippo pond before returning to the edge of the crater to spend the night there. Overnight at Simba (Camping)
day 6
LAKE MANYARA TO ARUSHAYou leave at dawn towards Lake Manyara National Park for a half-day of wildlife observation. The lake attracts hundreds of bird species, such as flamingos, pelicans, grebes, ibises, herons, geese, kingfishers, lapwings, and other species of water birds. In the vegetation near the park entrance gate, you may encounter baboons and monkeys. Other animal species to admire include: elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, warthogs, and hippos. In the afternoon, drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your return flight. Extension to Zanzibar available on request, for those who wish to end their stay with a relaxing touch!
