Trip Description

This safari features the popular game parks of the Northern Circuit. With the best of Lake Manyara National Park, the southern Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire, this safari is a tailor-made journey designed with 4x4 vehicles equipped with open roofs for wildlife viewing. It is a small group safari, with a maximum of 6 travelers per vehicle, all benefiting from window seats. The trip lasts 4 days.

day 1
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, the drive from the Eastpoint hotel or a similar hotel to Tarangire National Park takes about 3 hours. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx gather in Tarangire until the rains arrive. In the late evening, return to the Octagon Lodge or a similar bed and breakfast.
day 2
Drive to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, go to the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day safari inside the crater. It is without a doubt the best place to see the black rhinoceros in Tanzania, as well as prides of lions including magnificent black-maned males. There are many colorful pink flamingos and a wide variety of water birds. Other animals you may observe include the leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, as well as small mammals. In the late afternoon, return to the Octagon Lodge or similar - FB.
day 3
Hike in Southern Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Morning hike in the southern Ngorongoro Conservation Area, up to the Elephant Cave and the waterfall. In the afternoon, visit to the Iraqw tribe's cultural center in Karatu to discover how the tribe protected its livestock from Maasai incursions by using underground settlements. day 4
Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive from the Octagon Lodge or a similar establishment to Lake Manyara National Park, which takes about 30 minutes. After having a picnic in Manyara, you will begin an afternoon walk, which is the best time to observe animals in this park. As you approach the escarpment of the East Rift Valley on the horizon, it forms an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the riverside forest, monkeys jump from branch to branch, while the escarpment elephants stand in the shade. Other frequently observed animals are zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and more. In the late afternoon, return to Moshi. Overnight at the Eastpoint Hotel or a similar hotel.
