day 1
Arrival in BaliOnce you arrive on Balinese soil, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver at the exit of Denpasar airport, who will take you to your hotel located in the Tabanan region. We advise you to take advantage of this day, as the coming days will be full of discoveries and visits.
day 2
In the heart of the rice fields of TabananAfter a good local breakfast, you will set off to discover the rice-growing region of Tabanan where coffee, cocoa, sugar palms, cloves, and many tropical fruits are cultivated. The small town also hosts many pottery, tile, and brick workshops, but it is best known for being home to the famous Tanah Lot temple. Built in the 16th century on the advice of the priest Nirartha to pay homage to the guardian spirits of the sea, this temple is, depending on the tides, sometimes an island, sometimes connected to the land. The place is very popular with tourists, but offers a breathtaking panorama of its flora in a lush green setting. You will have the afternoon free to enjoy the massage sessions offered by the hotel, relax, and have a good time on the Island of the Gods.

Accompanied by your guide, you will start your visits with the Hindu temple of Batukaru. Then, you will attend a botany class in the midst of the wonderful endless terraced rice fields of Jatiluwih, which are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. After lunch, you can enjoy a walk in these rice fields before setting off to discover the famous Ulun Danau Bratan temple, located on Lake Bratan. In the early evening, you will arrive in a small village in the middle of the rice fields of Ubud to spend the night there.

Thus, you will be introduced to the different weaving techniques and natural plant-based dyeing methods, which give vibrant colors. Make the most of this friendly moment of exchange with the Sumbanese family.
