Trip Description

Holi is a Hindu festival that celebrates the spring equinox. It lasts two days and begins during the full moon of the month of Phalguna, in March. The festival of colors refers to the colored powders applied to the face. This journey will let you discover this sacred fervor, but also Rajasthan, one of the most beautiful regions of India. The gigantic forts and palaces you will discover will allow you to imagine the power of the Maharajas of old, who ruled Rajasthan for centuries. The palaces of Rajasthan are made of carved white marble (like the Taj Mahal) or red stones (like the Agra Fort or the Palace of Winds in Jaipur). The perfect preservation of these monuments leaves one speechless. You will visit remarkable sites such as the magnificent fortified city of Jodhpur (the blue city) and the famous Taj Mahal. These places will give you an insight into the very fascinating history of Northern India.
