Oranienbaum or KronstadtYou can choose between Oranienbaum and Kronshtadt. Cronstadt is located on the small island of Kotlin, in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland. It has always been a major training center for the staff of the Russian navy. A powerful reinforcement of the fortifications — old Russian forts — was created above the Gulf of Finland more than 300 years ago. You can take a boat trip and see these forts that made up the most powerful fortress in the Baltic. The city's skyline is dominated by the Naval Cathedral of Saint Nicholas.
