Trip Description

Enjoy a 4-day safari in one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries on the Southern Tanzania circuit: the Selous Game Reserve. The tour starts and ends in Dar-Es-Salaam. You will enjoy a boat safari along the Rufiji River, a visit to the African village of Mloka, as well as an early morning walking safari on the last day of your excursion.

day 1
Dar es Salaam - Selous Game Reserve
Your driver-guide, with a 4x4 vehicle, will pick you up at your hotel in Dar-Es-Salaam at 7:00 am and drive you to Selous. You will arrive in Selous early in the morning, have lunch at 1:00 pm, then at 2:00 pm, you will go on a boat safari along the Rufiji River. There you can observe hippos, crocodiles, and game along the riverbank. Dinner in the bush at 7:30 pm, then overnight at Selous Wilderness Camp.
day 2
Selous Game Reserve
Your breakfast will be at 7:00 am, with a lunch box. At 8:00 am, you will leave for a full day safari in Selous, the largest wildlife reserve in Africa. You will be able to observe fabulous game there, including elephants, buffaloes, wild dogs, and extraordinary lion cubs. You will enjoy your picnic at 1:00 pm and continue your safari. Enjoy the safari until the evening, when you will return to your lodge for dinner and the night at Selous Wilderness Camp.
day 3
Selous Game Reserve
Your breakfast will be served at 7:00 and 8:00, accompanied by a lunch box. Then, you will go on a safari until 16:00, at which time you will visit the village of Mloka. There, you will discover the market, the police station, the shops, and meet the villagers in their daily lives. The village of Mloka offers you the opportunity to discover the true life of an African village. Dinner and overnight at Africa Safari Camp in Selous.
day 4
Selous Game Reserve - Dar es Salaam
Early in the morning, at 6:30 am, you will go for a short walking safari in the park and return for breakfast at 8:00 am. After your breakfast, you will leave Selous and return to Dar-Es-Salaam.
