Between January and March, thousands of wildebeest give birth, attracting predators and creating incredible wildlife encounters. Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater Tour
A Friendly Ron Adventure safari guide will greet you and provide a short briefing about your journey ahead. You’ll then set out toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, one of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. Descend about 600 meters into the famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive, exploring its diverse landscapes teeming with wildlife. The crater floor offers exceptional sightings of elephants, lions, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and even the rare black rhino. Midday, you’ll enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing your adventure through this awe-inspiring UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Naserian.

Ngorongoro – Drive to Ndutu Plains
After breakfast, drive to the Ndutu region, part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem, famous for its rich wildlife and calving herds. Dedicate an entire day to discovering the Ndutu plains. The optimal times for photography and an increased likelihood of predator encounters are during the early morning and late afternoon drives. The vast open landscapes and short grass plains create perfect circumstances for witnessing wildlife interactions and capturing images of newborn calves. Ndutu – More Game Drives
Another day in the Ndutu area to maximize your photography and wildlife encounters. Depending on animal movement, you may explore the marshes, Lake Ndutu, or the edge of the Southern Serengeti. Expect to see large herds of wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, and numerous bird species. Dinner and overnight at Ndutu Hven Migration Camp.

Morning Game Drive – Fly Ndutu to Kilimanjaro (JRO)
Following breakfast and a brief morning game drive, proceed to the Ndutu Airstrip for your scenic flight back to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Once you arrive, you will be greeted and assisted with your international flight home, concluding your remarkable calving season safari with our agency.
