• day 1

  Arrival - JRO - Kilimanjaro Airport

  

  Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be greeted by a member of the Expect in Africa Safari team who will transfer you by road to your hotel. Accommodation: Kahawa House Drinks: Excluded Kahawa House Kahawa House, opened in 2019, is the latest addition. This welcoming lodge is the ideal base, whether on the way to the parks, after a safari, or even as a stopover on the way back. Accommodation: The rooms are distributed in four two-story buildings. They have a balcony and a private bathroom.

  Excursion in Tarangire National Park

  

  After breakfast, the driver will take you from the lodge to the park for a full day of safari. Tarangire is the third largest national park and the sanctuary of a significant elephant population. While crossing the park, you will also have the opportunity to see lions, leopards, buffaloes, and a wide variety of antelopes.   From Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

  

  Departure from the lodge after breakfast for the journey to Serengeti National Park. We will start the day with a scenic drive towards the Serengeti. On the way, we will pass through the humid rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you may have the chance to spot Cape buffalo, baboons, or even elephants and leopards in the dense undergrowth. Guests can witness the spectacle of the Great Migration from the comfort of their tents. These elegant tents are built on raised wooden platforms and feature an en-suite bathroom and an outdoor shower. After a day on safari, guests can enjoy a refreshing shower under the stars. Each tent has its own private terrace where you can enjoy the scenery and surroundings. The family tent consists of two interconnected tents, a shared bathroom, and a private porch.

  Option - Balloon safari in the Serengeti and wildlife observation.

  

  Option - Balloon Safari in the Serengeti and Game Viewing The balloon experience begins before dawn. You will be picked up as early as 04:00 and taken to the balloon launch site. While the huge balloon envelope is being filled by fans powered by a mobile generator, you will be briefed on safety precautions and what you are likely to see. Finally, while the balloon is still securely tethered, you board around 6:30, just as the sun begins to break the horizon. The basket is quite deep, with compartments and rails to hold onto for extra safety and to brace yourself. When all passengers are on board, the pilot ignites the burner, the balloon is released, and you take off. During the next hour (the flight duration varies from 50 to 70 minutes), you drift above the plains with the wind, followed by the ground crew in their vehicles. Depending on the conditions, you may fly over the forest, observe vulture nests and baboons waking up in their roosts, or descend just a few meters above the dew-covered grass as zebras and antelopes scatter. Experienced pilots can follow watercourses, glide just above hippos splashing about or prides of lions drinking, and fly over the savannah at a height suitable for taking aerial photos of the wildlife. However, for much of the flight, you will soar like a tawny eagle across the landscape at dawn, as the sun changes from a browned orb on the dark horizon to a bright disk above the plains. A full bush breakfast will await you after landing, with photos and certificates, and you will toast your success with sparkling wine.   Explore the Ngorongoro Crater

  

  After breakfast, departure for Ngorongoro. Descent into the crater at 600 meters altitude to discover the true spirit of Africa. In the comfort of your 4x4 vehicle, designed exclusively for animal observation, you will have the opportunity to spot the Big Five in this magnificent crater, a wonder of the world. Elephant, buffalo, leopard, lion, and the rare black rhinoceros, as well as hyenas, jackals, flamingos, and hippos, are among the animals that make this crater unique and magnificent.
