day 2:
Arusha to Tarangire National ParkMorning: Leisure time followed by a comprehensive safari briefing and lunch. Afternoon: Join a seat-in-vehicle safari. Depart Arusha, passing through the picturesque Masai Steppe with African villages, maize, coffee, and banana plantations. Journey: Continue to Tarangire National Park Gate via Makuyuni. Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation AreaMorning: After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro with a picnic lunch, viewing game across the vast Serengeti plains. Journey: Stop en route for a picnic lunch. Continue to your camp/lodge. Ngorongoro Crater: Known as ‘The eighth wonder of the world', the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa's best-known wildlife arenas. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers a unique biosphere, which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Accommodation: Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Ngorongoro Crater ExplorationMorning: A highlight awaits as you depart to explore what is commonly referred to as the World’s largest natural wildlife arena. Crater Descent: After breakfast, descend with a picnic lunch through the early morning mists and 2,000 feet into the crater. Ngorongoro Crater is the World’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Exploration: Due to its size and diversity, the crater floor comprises several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes, and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes. A truly unique wildlife experience. Accommodation: Return to the camp/lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Departure from Ngorongoro to Kilimanjaro AirportMorning: Depart Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast. Journey: Head south-east past Lake Manyara and Mto wa Mbu village. Travel through the highlands and the Karatu district, viewing scenic wheat plains and coffee plantations before journeying down the spectacular escarpment. Turn south on the main road to Arusha. The journey will pass through the Masai Steppe, filled with many picturesque African villages, as well as maize, coffee, and banana plantations. Lunch: On arrival in Arusha, lunch is provided. Transfer: Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) to connect with your international departure flight. Optional Extension: Option to transfer to Arusha airport for a flight to Zanzibar, Mafia, or Pemba for a beach extension (at a supplement).
