    Depart to Nyerere National Park, formerly Selous Game Reserve. The journey takes 4 hours by drive. With its expansive landscapes and diverse ecosystems, Nyerere remains one of the least disturbed national parks in Africa. With limited roads and a truly wild environment, the park is one of the most pristine safari destinations in Tanzania. Whether you're interested in game drives, boat safaris, or walking tours, Nyerere provides opportunities to witness Africa's iconic wildlife in a setting that feels timeless. In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari on the mighty Rufiji River, where you will be able to see hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species in their natural habitats.     Breakfast is followed by a full day exploring the park in a 4x4 vehicle, searching for wild animals and enjoying a bush picnic lunch in the park. Nyerere National Park—previously known as Selous Game Reserve—offers an unrivaled safari experience, far from the typical crowds. Spanning over 30,000 square kilometers, Nyerere is Africa’s largest game reserve and one of Tanzania’s most treasured wildlife destinations. Its vastness and pristine wilderness make it the ultimate escape for wildlife lovers seeking to immerse themselves in the heart of Africa’s natural beauty. At the heart of the park are majestic rivers and lakes that sustain the diverse wildlife within. Visitors can expect to see an incredible array of animals, including elephants, wild dogs, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and vast prides of lions. Due to its size and remoteness, Nyerere National Park is home to untamed landscapes and wildlife that remain relatively untouched by human activity.
