• day 1

  Cairo / Arrival

  Arrival in Cairo, welcome at Cairo airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

• day 2

  Saqqara Necropolis and Giza Plateau

  After breakfast, departure for the visit of the Necropolis of Saqqara: the famous step pyramid of King Djoser, the royal pyramids, the funerary texts, the mastabas… Lunch during the visits. In the afternoon, visit of the Giza plateau: the pyramids and the Sphinx. Return to the hotel. Optional: Sound and light show at the pyramids; cultural evening with the Sphinx (20 Euro per person). Dinner at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

• day 3

  Egyptian Antiquities Museum

  After breakfast, departure for the visit of the Egyptian Antiquities Museum (founded in 1857 by the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette). Lunch during the visits. In the afternoon, visit of the Mohamed Ali Mosque within the Saladin Citadel and discovery of the covered souks of Khan El Khalili. Return to the hotel. In the evening: oriental evening on board the Nile cruise restaurant: buffet meal with oriental entertainment (a beautiful cruise on the Nile in Cairo). Optional. Overnight at the hotel.

• day 4

  Cairo / Final departure

  Breakfast. Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to Cairo airport.
