Bogotá is located at an altitude of 2,600 m in the heart of the Andes. With its 9,000,000 inhabitants, it is the political, economic and cultural capital of the country. It is a cosmopolitan city with a vibrant cultural life. It is also one of the centres of Latin American gastronomy, where you can enjoy cuisine that reflects Colombian traditions. The Candelaria district: This is a haven of peace. An island in the centre of the capital with narrow streets to stroll along and colonial buildings with a nonchalant look.

Day 2 : Visit to Bogota

Discover the capital in complete freedom. A day of walking through the historical centre of Bogotá. A very lively and cultural district where many artists live. Visit the fabulous Gold Museum, the Botero Foundation and Simon Bolivar Square. Ascent of Mount Serrate by cable car where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city of Bogotá.

Day 3 : Salento and the Cocora Valley

Salento is a beautiful village with the typical architectural style of the coffee triangle. Here you will discover a friendly people and the history of the coffee industry. The excursions to the Cocora Valley start from Salento.

Private transfer from your hotel to Bogota airport and domestic flight to Pereira (1 hour flight)
Private transfer to the small village of Salento. (about 1 hour drive)


In the afternoon you will visit the colourful village of Salento and the mirador from where you will have a breathtaking view of the whole valley.

Day 4 : Cocora Valley and Acaime Reserve

The Cocora Valley is a beautiful valley located in the heart of the Zona de Cafetera. It is home to a tree that is symbolic of Colombia and endemic to this valley: La Palma de Cerra, a very tall, century-old palm tree. You will discover this beautiful valley during a hike that will lead you to the Acaime reserve where you will observe the hummingbirds and taste a good coffee.

Day 5 : Discovery of the culture of the coffee area hosted by a producer family

You will spend two days immersed in the daily life of a family of coffee growers hosted in a traditional farm. Duwi and his family will welcome you into their home as friends and introduce you to their region and culture. You will discover the art of coffee growing, visit a traditional market, the coffee cooperative of Manizales and the small village of La Cuchilla del Salado.

You will hike through the beautiful and hilly landscapes of the coffee area, you will play Tejo (a kind of local petanque) with your hosts, you will learn how to cook Tamal, a typical dish of the region during a cooking workshop and you will spend good moments of sharing and exchange with Duwi and his family.




Day 7 : Cartagena, the pearl of the Caribbean

Duwi will drive you to Pereira airport and fly to Cartagena. (1h30)

Cartagena de Indias is a fantastic city that bewitches the traveller and tells him the secrets of colonial history and piracy. The many churches that stand in the old city remind us of the grandeur of its past history. At nightfall Cartagena takes on a romantic atmosphere and it is pleasant to stroll through its streets carried by the sea breeze.

Day 8 : The Rosario Islands

You will spend two days relaxing on a small paradise island in the Caribbean Sea within the natural park of the Rosario Islands. You will stay in a small charming hotel with 5 bungalows facing the sea. A magical place to relax and recharge your batteries.

Tayrona Park is a magical place, full of history and legends, with an incredible biodiversity. 34 km from the city of Santa Marta, it is one of the most important natural parks in Colombia. Inhabited by the Tayrona Indians, an ethnic group native to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, it is the link between the mountain range and the Caribbean Sea. Its wildly beautiful white sand beaches invite you to relax. The numerous footpaths that cross the park allow the discovery of an incredibly rich fauna and flora.

Day 13 : Visit to a traditional cocoa farm and kayak down the Rio Don Diego

In the morning you will visit a traditional cocoa farm nestled in the heart of La Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. After a beautiful hike through the steep paths of La sierra Nevada you will visit a family cocoa farm. You will discover the secrets of cocoa cultivation and you will meet some beautiful people, Nevada de Santa Marta.

In the afternoon you will kayak down the calm waters of the Rio don Diego to observe the many species of birds that live on its banks. At the end of this trip you will discover a sublime beach, preserved, with a wild beauty.

Day 14 : La Guajira hosted by a Wayuu family

Guajira is a wild and deserted land that stretches across the far north of Latin America. You will discover the culture of the Wayuu Indians and magnificent beaches where the sand dunes flow into the Caribbean. 


Early morning departure for Guajira in a 4*4. 
Visit of the salt marshes of Manaure, of Uribia, the indigenous capital of Guajira and the exceptional landscapes of the desert. Arrival in the afternoon at the beach of La Boquita and relaxation. 
At sunset you will take a small fisherman's boat to your accommodation with Emilio's family, a Wayuu Indian family.


Evening meal and overnight stay with the locals.

After breakfast you will leave for the largest sand dune in Latin America and spend the morning on a deserted Caribbean beach.

Visit the mirador and lighthouse of Punta Gallina, the northernmost point of Latin America.

In the morning you will go on a fishing boat tour through the mangrove and the beautiful desert landscape.
