After being met by your English-speaking guide at the airport, you will be taken to your guesthouse in the historic centre of Ecuador's capital. A place full of history whose owners will explain its past to you.

Day 2 : Quito, cultural heritage

There is a real reason why Quito has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Its hilly layout and the many buildings from the colonial and republican era make it the most beautiful capital of the continent. You will visit churches, convents and a cathedral. Then you will continue with a sweet note with the tasting of Ecuadorian chocolate, which has an international reputation. But the day does not end here and you will continue into the night with an exclusive tour, the details of which will remain a surprise...

Day 3 : En route to the Indian North

Head to Otavalo, whose reputation is based on its handicrafts (via its market) and flower production. First stop at the archeological site of Cochasqui where you can discover the romantic life of Princess Quilago. You will continue with a visit to a rose plantation to discover all the secrets and methods of obtaining the multicoloured petals found in the markets. The owners will show you around their Hacienda and the rose showroom, which will surprise you with its diversity and outpouring of colour. You will spend the night in a Hacienda further north to immerse yourself in these places that have marked the history of this country.

Day 4 : Cuicocha, high altitude lake and the Middle of the World

A little bit of mountain all the same: you will visit the lagoon of Cuicocha, perched in the heart of an ancient volcano, the occasion for beautiful photos of couples on an exceptional backdrop of a paradisiacal beach. Then lunch in a place that favours national cuisine with local "organic" products, in order to share unique flavours. This place is located on the true Middle of the World, the equatorial line that separates our planet in two. Return to Quito to find your guesthouse.

Day 5 : Flight to the magical Amazon

You'll take a flight of less than an hour to the town of Coca from where you'll be transported by boat to your luxury accommodation, the Selva Lodge. The perfect combination of comfort and safety for exploring the lush rainforest. You can indulge yourself with a massage and a soak in the jacuzzi.

Day 6 : First walk in the rainforest

This day will be dedicated to the discovery of the tropical environment, with a walk in the forest. The guide will share with you his knowledge of the local plants and their uses as well as the fauna that he will be able to show you in the middle of the intense forest cover. In the evening you will be treated to a pirogue ride, exclusively for you, on the Garzacocha lagoon, at sunset. A way to soak up the intense sounds of the forest before returning to your room.

Day 7 : Amazonian secrets

Another excursion awaits you to meet the animals of this preserved forest. Monkeys, toucans, macaws,... you will see all kinds. A bath of heat and oxygen. There is no wilder place in the Amazon. In the evening you will have your table reserved for a wedding surprise.

Day 8 : Return to Quito

After a special breakfast, you will be taken to Coca airport for a return flight to the capital. A driver will be waiting for you to take you to an upscale hotel. You will then have free time to stroll through the tourist district of Quito, to buy souvenirs or, if you wish, to visit a museum which we will suggest to you according to your desires. You can also enjoy a romantic dinner if you wish to receive our recommendations.

Day 9 : See the Condors and... finish at the hot water baths

Nature day with a walk at the foot of the Antisana volcano, a reserve where condors can be observed in freedom. Paramo" landscapes, these famous Andean plateaus with high grass swept by the wind. From there you will go to Papallacta and its thermal waters for a hot water bath at altitude. We guarantee you a peaceful night with such a program!

Day 10 : An Andean giant called Cotopaxi

Leaving the warm waters of Papallacta is not going to be easy but it is for a good cause as you will reach the emblematic Cotopaxi volcano, whose snowy summit is known to all here. You will visit the park and climb at least to the refuge at 4600 meters. You will continue this day towards Baños, a thermal town, in which it is good to walk around. You will be given some free time. You will spend the night in what is one of the most beautiful hotels in town, with spa, swimming pool and hammam.

Day 11 : Waterfalls and return to Quito

The most famous waterfall in the country is called "Pailón del Diablo", the devil's pot. This gives you an idea of the power of this waterfall, which you can approach via a network of steps and bridges. You can even take a zip line over the Pastaza River to overlook other waterfalls, the more romantic "Manto de la Novia": the bride's dress. You will then take the road back to Quito.

Day 12 : The Galapagos, after Darwin

The 3rd emblematic region of the country, the Galapagos archipelago. Flight to this preserved paradise. A little less than 3 hours flight. You will arrive in Baltra where you will be taken care of by your local guide after the administrative entry procedures imposed by the local authorities. To give you an idea of the richness of these islands, you will visit the Charles Darwin Research Centre.

Day 13 : Direction Isabela

Puerto Villamil ©Jess Kraft - Shutterstock.com

Isabela is for us the wildest inhabited island of the archipelago. After a 2.5 hour fast boat ride from Santa Cruz, you will arrive in Puerto Villamil. From here you will be eager to go for a dip on the beach of Concha y Perla, close to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will be taken by boat to the islet Tintoreras, named after the sharks that can be seen from land. The show begins: a colony of iguanas, penguins, pelicans, some blue-footed boobies, playful sea lions, turtles and marine iguanas. A little snorkelling will allow you to judge for yourself what this exceptional sea hides.

Day 14 : Visit to Cape Rose

This visit is one of our favourites: see the blue-footed boobies from a metre away, sometimes nesting or on parade. Then dive protected by a lava reef to swim over a sea turtle that is your size. A few centimetres above it, following its languid movements. It's the equivalent of an intense yoga session and the joy will show on your face. Being teased by curious penguins that come to nibble your fins, approaching lobsters, or harmless sharks. To end this already beautiful day, you can take a walk to the lagoon where the pink flamingos take refuge and continue to the white sandy beaches, especially at the beach of Love.

Day 15 : Trek to Sierra Negra volcano

Imagine a volcano with the second largest mouth in the world, with a "lunar" setting from which fumaroles emanate! Well, this volcano is also located in Isabela. Its last eruption was in 2005, so it's an active visit! 9km in diameter! You will walk along one side of the volcano for a view of the caldera and the rest of the island. The afternoon will be free to enjoy the beaches of our favourite island again.

Day 16 : Return to the Continent and International Flight
