Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent - Explore the Modern and Historic Capital

Arrive in Tashkent around 07:00, the capital of Uzbekistan, and meet your French-speaking guide and driver in the waiting area outside Tashkent International Airport. Check-in at the hotel is available from 14:00. Upon arrival, drop off your luggage at the hotel and enjoy breakfast. Begin your journey by exploring Tashkent's blend of history and modernity:

TASHKENT METRO: Visit stations like Kosmonavtlar, Alisher Navoiy, Paxtakor, and Mustaqillik Maydoni.

STROLL IN SAYLGOH PARK: Take a leisurely walk through the park (boulevard) in the heart of Tashkent. Explore Amir Temur Avenue, the Amir Temur and Timurid State Museum, the first hotel in Uzbekistan, and the Congress Palace from the outside.

Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to experience a Pottery Workshop offered by the agency. Enjoy a provided breakfast and lunch. Your evening is free for dinner, followed by your first night in Tashkent.

Start your day with an early transfer to the local airport in Tashkent. Enjoy a picnic breakfast. In the morning (7:15), take an internal flight from Tashkent to Urgench (INCLUDED). Upon arrival in Urgench, transfer to Khiva (30 km from Urgench). After dropping off your luggage at the hotel, embark on a journey through the ancient Khiva, often compared to the tales of the Thousand and One Nights. Khiva, an integral part of the ancient Khorezm, the birthplace of algebra, invites exploration.

Today's highlights include the exploration of the sprawling 26-hectare complex of Ichan Qala (inner fortress, 20th-19th century) in Khiva, known as the "open-air museum city," encircled by thick and high walls:

Day 3: Khiva to Bukhara (By Classic Train or Car/Coach)

After breakfast, you'll embark on your journey to Bukhara. This leg of the journey offers a transition between two remarkable Uzbek cities. You can choose to travel by a classic "Shark" train or by car/coach, depending on the train schedule (around 9:00 AM). Upon your arrival in Bukhara (also known as Kogon), you will be transferred to the ancient and revered city of Bukhara. Notably, Bukhara is the hometown of Avicenna (Ibn Sina), renowned as one of the greatest figures in the world of medicine.

Once you've dropped off your luggage at the hotel, you'll commence your exploration of this historic city. Please note that due to the ongoing installation of electricity along the Khiva-Bukhara railway, precise train schedules might not be available. Therefore, the train journey could be replaced by a car or coach. The train expenses usually cover the cost of transfer services by car or coach.

In the evening, you're free to choose your dinner spot, followed by your third night's stay in Bukhara.

This morning, your exploration of the legendary city of Bukhara continues:

ISMAIL SAMANI MAUSOLEUM (9th-10th centuries)

CHASHMAI AYUB MUSEUM (12th-15th centuries)

BOLO HAUZ MUSEUM (17th-20th centuries)

ARK FORTRESS (5th-20th centuries)

You'll also have the chance to visit the ULUGBEK AND ABDULAZIZ KHAN MADRASAS (15th-17th centuries), which are significant architectural wonders.

The rest of the day is at your leisure. Choose where to dine and unwind in the evening, followed by your fourth night in Bukhara.

After lunch, you'll be transferred to the Kogon train station in Bukhara. Catch the train departing at 3:20 PM, continuing your journey to the city of Samarkand, a place resonating with the oriental tales you might have heard in your youth. Upon arrival in the renowned city of Samarkand, often referred to as the "Jewel of the Orient," you'll be transferred to your hotel.

Today's highlights include a visit to the ULUGBEK OBSERVATORY (15th century), an impressive architectural and scientific marvel of its time.

Depending on your choice, there's an option for an evening exploration of Samarkand, allowing you to experience the city's beauty under the night sky.

Your breakfast and lunch are included. You'll have the evening free for dinner, followed by your fifth night's stay in Samarkand.

After breakfast, your journey continues as you "travel in a caravan" to the city of Samarkand, a place that echoes the oriental tales you've heard in your youth. Upon arrival in the renowned city of Samarkand, often referred to as the "Jewel of the Orient," you'll be transferred to your hotel.

Today's highlights include:

REGISTAN SQUARE (15th-17th centuries): Explore the impressive Ulugbek, Tillakori, and Sherdor Madrasas.

BIBI KHANUM MOSQUE (14th-15th centuries)

Your breakfast and lunch are included in the day's program. Enjoy the evening at your leisure for dinner, followed by your sixth night's stay in Samarkand.

At 4:40 PM, you'll be transferred to Samarkand's train station for your return journey to Tashkent on the high-speed Afrosiab train (Talgo 250). Departure and arrival times: 5:58 PM - 8:08 PM. You'll return to Tashkent in the evening, where you'll be transferred to your hotel and settle in.

Your breakfast and lunch are included for the day. Your evening is free for dinner, followed by your seventh night's stay in Tashkent.
