Day 1 : Arrival in Avignon

Known as the city of the popes, Avignon is home to the largest medieval fortress in Europe. Take a foray into the history of the papacy in Avignon, their magnificent Palace and take a walk on the famous Avignon Bridge. Enjoy its shady squares in the heart of the city.

Both monuments belong to the UNESCO World Heritage.

Day 2 : Uzès and the Pont du Gard

Discover the truffle fields of Uzès. On more than 15 hectares, explore the truffle plantation, the district of Mediterranean essences, the experimental plantations, and the museum dedicated to the truffle and its cultivation. Demonstration of truffle hunting with dogs according to the season and tasting.
Stroll around Uzès through the medieval alleys, shady squares, numerous antique shops and local products. 
Continue the discovery of the local gastronomy by visiting the olive oil mill. As olive oil is a major component of the local cuisine, you will learn about the different flavours and species of local olives.
Finish your day at the Pont du Gard, one of the best preserved Roman aqueducts, located in a protected natural environment. Possibility of a canoe trip under the Pont du Gard depending on the season.

Day 3 : Villages of Provence

Discover Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages in France, a village perched on a hill, with cobbled streets and a breathtaking view of the Luberon valley.
You will visit the Abbey of Sénanque, surrounded by lavender fields (in bloom in June and early July, not to be missed!).
In the afternoon, stop at Ile sur la Sorgue, a charming Provencal town. The numerous canals and branches of the Sorgue have given the town the nickname of the Venice of the Comtat.  Discover the shops of antique dealers, art galleries, decorators... Make a stop at Fontane de Vaucluse to discover the source of the Sorgue, a refreshing stroll.

Day 4 : A day in the wild Camargue

Enjoy a 4X4 ride with your guide through the Camargue to discover this wild landscape and the traditional animals: black bulls, white horses, pink flamingos are only the best known. Discover also the local gastronomy during a tasting.

Spend the afternoon in Aigues Mortes, a fortified medieval town.

Day 5 : Chateauneuf du Pape

Before leaving the region, head for Châteauneuf du singe, well known for its wines. Come and discover the different winemaking techniques of the great wines of Châteauneuf du Pape and the Côtes du Rhône. Visit and tasting.
