Day 1 : Arrival in Bogotá

A French-speaking assistant will meet you at the airport and accompany you to your hotel in a private vehicle. He will give you your travel documents and a loan phone.

Welcome to Bogotá, a multicultural and dynamic capital in the heart of the Andes, at an altitude of 2,600m.

Day 2 : Discovering Bogotá

Breakfast at the hotel.

Direction the Cerro Monserrate, located at an altitude of 3,150m. The panoramic view over the valley and the town is unique!

Afterwards, visit of the historical quarter of La Candelaria and the Bolivar Square where you will find the National Capitol, the Palace of Justice, the City Hall of Bogotá, the "Primada" Cathedral, the Chapel "del Sagrario" and the Archbishop's Palace. We discover the neo-classical façade of the Colon Theatre and the splendid Church of Santa Clara.

Lunch free.

In the afternoon, visit to the Gold Museum (closed on Mondays), which is surely the highlight of our visit as it houses the largest collection of gold coins from the Amerindian period. Finally, you will visit the Botero Foundation (closed on Tuesdays), which contains, in addition to Botero's works, 85 paintings by the greatest impressionist masters as well as the Casa Moneda and its religious reliquaries.

Day 3 : Heading to the coffee region and discovering Pereira

Breakfast at the hotel.

Flight to Pereira, direction the coffee region. Free lunch on the way.

After lunch, we head to the Botanical Garden and its butterfly greenhouse, which will amaze young and old alike. After the visit, return to the finca.




Day 4 : Cocora Valley and visit to Salento

Breakfast at the hotel.

Direction the village of Filandia where you will walk through its charming streets.

You then take the traditional jeep "Willis" to the entrance of the Cocora Valley where you start an easy hike of about 3 hours. You evolve in a decor of hills where wax palm trees, Colombian national emblem, can reach up to 60m high.

Lunch is free.

Then, on the way to Salento, a mecca for ecotourism in Colombia with a very pleasant climate. Salento is a beautiful ensemble of traditional "paisa" architecture with painted wooden facades and elegant colonnaded corridors.

Return to the hotel and free dinner.




Day 5 : Manizales and thermal baths of Santa Rosa de Cabal

Breakfast at the hotel.

Direction Manizales. During a break at the thermal baths of Santa Rosa de Cabal. Take advantage of this moment to relax in the hot water of the thermal baths.

Lunch is free.

After swimming, transport to Manizales. and settling in at the hacienda.

Dinner at your leisure.




Day 6 : Manizales and discovery of cocoa production

Morning and free lunch.

In the afternoon you take part in the cocoa tour. You observe its production, starting from the plant, then fruit, to the chocolate bar. Tasting possible!

Dinner is free.




Day 7 : Direction Cartagena

Breakfast at the hotel.

Flight to Cartagena and check-in at the hotel in the historic centre. Free day at leisure to stroll and stroll through the colourful streets of this surprising city.

Free lunch and dinner.




Day 8 : Discovery of Cartagena de Indias

Free day at leisure in Cartagena.

It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984 and it is easy to understand why. The buildings are reminiscent of the splendour of the colonial era, with their beautifully carved wooden balconies, wooden doors opening onto sumptuous patios.

Day 9 : Direction the Rosary Islands

Transfer to the port of Cartagena to embark by boat to the Rosary Islands: The Rosary Islands archipelago is located about 1 hour by motor boat from the bay of Cartagena. Here you can relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city, enjoy the beach and the sunshine, dive and maybe catch a glimpse of some coral fish.

Lunch and dinner are free.




Day 10 : Back to Cartagena

Morning and free lunch. After enjoying the beach and the sea, you leave in the middle of the afternoon by boat for Cartagena. Private transfer from the port to the hotel.

Dinner at your own expense.




Day 11 : On the way to Santa Marta

Direction Santa Marta, a town on the Caribbean coast located not far from Tayrona Park, a protected park with great biodiversity. It is located between the Sierra Nevada, the lungs of the world, a land inhabited by several indigenous ethnic groups, and the Caribbean Sea, which makes it an interesting place. 

Free lunch and dinner.




Day 12 : Day at Tayrona Park

Breakfast at the hotel

Day in Tayrona Park. This park of more than 15,000 hectares owes its name to the Tayrona Indians who lived in this region when the Spanish settlers arrived. It is one of the most fascinating ecological reserves on the South American continent. Hiking through beautiful paths between forest and sea to Arrecifes. Breaks on the beaches, in natural swimming pools, passing by the beaches of San Felipe and Gumurra. Walk to the beautiful beaches of Cabo San Juan where you can swim.

Lunch free. Return to Santa Marta. and dinner free.




Day 13 : Excursion to Minca and coffee plantation

Breakfast at the hotel.

Direction Minca, a village in the Sierra Nevada. You leave for a walk of about 7km along waterfalls and pools where you can swim. You will also wander through the coffee plantations. Lunch included.

Visit of a coffee plantation and swimming in the Marinka waterfalls. Return to Santa Marta in mid afternoon,

Dinner is free.




Day 14 : Return to Bogotá and departure

Enjoy your last moments on the Caribbean coast and head to Santa Marta Airport. Fly direct to Bogotá where a member of the team is on hand for last moments before your international connection.
