Two hours from Luang Prabang, the Pak Ou caves house representations of Buddha. They can be accessed by tuk-tuk, but it's much more enjoyable by boat. You then discover two caves amidst lush jungle and, inside, thousands of Buddha statues in all positions... Unique!

Spending a night in the trees in the Bokeo Nature Reserve is an unforgettable experience. This reserve is home to protected species like tigers and gibbons. By being attached to a zip line, you can travel from tree to tree, offering a breathtaking view of these animals from above. You can also sleep in a perched cabin, lulled by the sounds of nature. It's an experience to have at least once in your life.
The ecotrek in the Nam Ha National Protected Area is just as fascinating. This reserve is composed of over 96% tropical forest, situated on strictly protected mountainous terrain. You can go on fantastic treks and meet the many ethnic groups living there, such as the Hmong, Akkha, Yao, and Lao Loum.
Finally, a hot air balloon flight over Vang Vieng offers a unique perspective. This small village is surrounded by stunning cliffs and is located near the Nam Song. There are many activities like climbing or hiking, but flying over Vang Vieng in a hot air balloon is truly magical.

If you are craving nature, Laos is a good option. Most of the forests are natural, but unfortunately, the economic push organized by the Chinese and the Vietnamese has started a process of systematic deforestation. However, some rare specimens are still present in the wildlife and flora. Wild areas, once inaccessible, can now be explored thanks to ecotourism programs organized by international NGOs. Competent local guides can help you discover nature that is still wild while respecting its natural balance for now.
