• dag 1

  Arrival in Tanzania & Transfer to Arusha

  Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, guests are met by their Serengeti Steppe Travels safari guide holding a personalized signboard. After assistance with luggage and a short safari briefing, you will drive to Arusha through fertile countryside with distant views of Mount Meru. Once at your lodge, check in and enjoy time to rest after your international journey, or take a stroll in the lodge gardens. This evening is reserved for relaxation before the adventure begins.

  Full-Day Safari in Tarangire National Park

  

  After breakfast, depart Arusha toward Tarangire National Park on a scenic two-hour drive across the Maasai plains. Enter the park and begin a full-day game drive following the Tarangire River, the lifeline for wildlife during the dry season. Expect large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and a rich bird population among giant baobab trees. Your guide will select prime wildlife areas and provide in-depth interpretation of animal behavior and ecosystems. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site inside the park before continuing exploration in the afternoon. Later, drive to Karatu town in the Ngorongoro Highlands.

  Journey to Central Serengeti & Afternoon Game Drive

  

  This morning, travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, climbing lush highlands before descending into the vast Serengeti plains. Enjoy game viewing en route, as wildlife sightings often occur even before reaching camp. Arrive in the Central Serengeti (Seronera) by midday, a region renowned for its year-round resident predators, supported by permanent water sources. After lunch at camp, set out on an extensive afternoon game drive in search of lions, cheetahs, leopards, and large herds of plains game. Return to camp at sunset for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the sounds of the wilderness.

  Northern Serengeti: Migration Territory

  

  After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive north through remote wilderness zones dotted with kopjes and rolling savannah. This region becomes especially dramatic during peak migration months, when hundreds of thousands of wildebeest gather near the Mara River. Spend the day exploring riverbanks, open plains, and woodland corridors where crocodiles, hippos, and stalking predators are commonly seen. Your guide will focus on strategic wildlife corridors and river crossing points according to seasonal movement. Arrive at camp in the late afternoon to relax and enjoy sunset views over the savannah.

  Game Viewing En Route Back to Central Serengeti

  

  Following breakfast, depart the Northern Serengeti and enjoy game viewing en route as you travel south to the Central Serengeti. The journey itself becomes a safari, with frequent sightings of herds, predators, and diverse birdlife along the way. After arriving at camp for lunch, enjoy a relaxed afternoon with an optional short game drive or time to unwind before the evening session, when big cats become more active. Dinner is served under the stars, bringing another memorable safari day to a close.

  Ngorongoro Crater Descent

  

  An early start takes you from the Serengeti toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon reaching the crater rim, descend 600 meters into this extraordinary natural amphitheater for a half-day game drive. The crater floor supports one of Africa’s densest wildlife populations, including endangered black rhinos, large lion prides, elephants, hippos, and flamingos around Lake Magadi. After a picnic lunch, ascend the crater walls and continue to Karatu for an overnight stay.

  Lake Manyara National Park & Departure

  

  After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its groundwater forest, soda lake, tree-climbing lions, and thousands of migratory birds. Enjoy a final game drive through forest trails and lakeshore plains before exiting the park and transferring to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha for your onward international or domestic flight.
