  Arusha

  

  Begin your Tanzanian adventure with an arrival in Arusha, the gateway to the country's renowned northern safari circuit. After clearing customs at the airport, you'll be transferred to the African View Lodge, a comfortable base nestled in lush surroundings with views of Mount Meru. Spend the afternoon at leisure, perhaps exploring the lodge's gardens or taking an optional short walk to acclimate to the East African vibe. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner featuring local flavors. All meals and overnight at African View Lodge or similar.

  Tarangire National Park

  

  After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of about 2-3 hours through rural landscapes. Known for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers excellent year-round game viewing, with resident wildlife including lions, giraffes, and diverse birdlife along the Tarangire River. Embark on an afternoon game drive to spot herds gathering at waterholes, followed by sundowners amid the acacia-dotted plains. All meals and overnight at Tarangire National Park

  Lake Manyara National Park

  

  Enjoy breakfast before transferring to Lake Manyara National Park, roughly a 1-2 hour drive. This compact park features a soda lake teeming with flamingos and hippos, groundwater forests home to tree-climbing lions, and open savannas with buffalo and zebras. A full-day game drive allows time to explore the diverse habitats, with a picnic lunch in the bush. Keep an eye out for over 400 bird species and playful baboon troops. In the late afternoon, arrive at Mawe Mawe Lodge, offering serene views over the Rift Valley escarpment. All meals and overnight at Mawe Mawe Lodge.

  Ikoma Region of Serengeti National Park

  

  After breakfast, head to the iconic Serengeti National Park, a 3-4 hour drive ascending the Rift Valley. The Serengeti’s vast grasslands support an abundance of wildlife year-round, including big cats like lions and cheetahs, elephants, and resident herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. Depending on the time of year, you might witness calving seasons or river crossings, but the park's resident predators and plains game ensure thrilling sightings at any time. Enjoy an en-route game drive, arriving at Sound of Silence Lodge. All meals and overnight at Sound of Silence Lodge.

  Serengeti National Park

  

  Dedicate the full day to immersing yourself in the Serengeti’s endless horizons. Start with an early morning game drive to catch predators on the hunt and herds grazing at dawn. The park's year-round appeal lies in its stable populations of leopards, hyenas, and birds of prey, with opportunities for optional hot-air balloon safaris offering aerial views of the landscape. Return to the lodge for lunch, then venture out again in the afternoon for more wildlife encounters amid the kopjes (rocky outcrops) and acacia woodlands.   Continue your Serengeti exploration with flexible game drives tailored to recent sightings. Opt for a full-day drive with a picnic lunch to venture deeper into the plains, or split the day with time to relax at the lodge.   Karatu

  After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti before travelling to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (4–6 hours). Check into your lodge in Karatu for the night. All meals and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge

  Ngorongoro Crater to Kilimanjaro International

  

  This morning, after breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater and enjoy a game drive. This is one of the wonders of the world. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater—this UNESCO site is a natural caldera packed with over 25,000 animals, including black rhinos, elephants, lions, and flamingos on the soda lake. It was formed by the collapse of an ancient volcano and creates a naturally protected area for the wildlife that lives there. Afterwards, travel to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your evening flight back home.
