  Let’s discover Bogotá today in the style of the « rolos » (nickname for the capital’s inhabitants). This walking tour takes you to the city’s most authentic and history-filled places. La Candelaria, the historic district, charms with its brightly colored houses, its carved wooden balconies, and its flower-filled patios. On the program: Plaza de Bolívar, the famous Chorro de Quevedo square, its artists, and its colonial residences.   Heading to the Amazon

We will travel on foot, by canoe, and aboard small motorboats. The places visited and the activities offered will allow you to delve into the heart of a region with surprising biodiversity. LETICIA – CHUNAKI ECOLODGE Welcome at Leticia airport by our local guide (lunch at your own expense in Leticia). Transfer to the port to board the Amazon River towards Chunaki Lodge. Upon your arrival, welcome and check-in to your rooms. Dugout canoe: 1h45 A first half-day of activity will be offered for you to choose from (to be selected on site): SUNSET ON THE RIVER Physical difficulty: 1/5 One of the most impressive sights in the region is the sunset on the river. When conditions are favorable, you will have the chance to admire the vibrant colors of the sky, whether from the boat, from the port, or from a beach island in the middle of the river. WORKSHOPS Traditional tattoo: leave with a temporary souvenir etched on your skin. Medicinal plants: discover the many virtues of the local flora. Leaf weaving: learn the ancestral method used to make the roofs of the malocas. Woodworking: practice artisanal creation techniques with Amazonian wood. Note: The excursions are given as an indication; you can adjust them as you wish once on site.   CHUNAKI LODGE Breakfast and departure with our local guide for a day of excursion. Half-day activities, to choose from: KAYAKING ON THE RIVER OR IN THE JUNGLE Physical difficulty: between 2/5 and 4/5 Kayaking offers multiple possibilities, such as going down the river or exploring the flooded jungle. A unique adventure to experience, depending on the season and the water level. PUERTO ALEGRE & KAYAKING ON LAKE KAOUCHI Physical difficulty: 2/5 After a 40-minute hike through the Peruvian jungle, punctuated by magnificent viewpoints, you will reach Lake Kaouchi, a place still little-known with a peaceful atmosphere. Paddle on its calm waters, enjoy the panorama or try piranha fishing. MAIKUCHIGA MONKEY SANCTUARY Physical difficulty: 1/5 The Mocagua sanctuary offers a unique educational experience. Discover how this institution rehabilitates monkeys that are victims of domestication, with a view to their reintegration into their natural habitat. You will move among the monkeys, minimizing your impact, to observe them interacting in complete freedom. SLOTH WATCHING IN SAN ANTONIO Physical difficulty: 1/5 The tropical forest at the gates of the community of San Antonio is the natural habitat of many sloths. Accompanied by your guide, learn more about this mysterious animal by walking the trails and watching them move in slow motion! PUERTO NARIÑO Physical difficulty: 2/5 This small town, one of the most developed in the region, is ideal for discovering local life and admiring grand landscapes from an elevated viewpoint.   Breakfast and departure with our local guide for a day of excursion. Half-day activities, to choose from: PINK DOLPHIN WATCHING Physical difficulty: 1/5 The Amazon is full of fascinating creatures, but one of the most emblematic is undoubtedly the pink dolphin. Get on board and get your camera ready to capture a unique spectacle: watching these animals emerge from the waters in their natural habitat. WALK IN THE CHUNAKI RESERVE Physical difficulty: 1/5 The Chunaki estate extends well beyond the ecolodge, in the heart of a deep and lush jungle. Traditionally, upon our guests' arrival, we offer a first walk in the reserve for an immediate immersion in this preserved environment. JUNGLE HIKE Physical difficulty: between 2/5 and 5/5 For those who wish to explore the depths of the tropical forest, many trails wind around Chunaki. Depending on your wishes and your level, hikes can vary from a few hours to several days. MACEDONIA COMMUNITY Physical difficulty: 1/5 Macedonia is the neighboring community, birthplace of our guide Martin! Discover a community maloca, a cultural center where you can attend authentic ceremonies, dance to the rhythm of traditional music, chat with the inhabitants, learn hunting techniques on wooden targets, and bring back local handicrafts.   Heading to the Colombian coast

  

  CHUNAKI ECOLODGE – LETICIA Breakfast at the lodge, then departure for Leticia airport for your return flight. Canoe: 1h45 IMPORTANT NOTES: The excursions are given as an indication; you can adjust them to your liking once there. The stay includes two activities per full day at Chunaki (the first day includes only one activity and the departure day includes no activity). The yellow fever vaccine is mandatory (to be done at least 10 days before your arrival). Please bring rubber boots. The lodge has a few pairs, but it is necessary to tell us your sizes in advance to check availability. If the lodge does not have your size, you can buy some in Leticia with your guide. Equipment to bring: a flashlight, a strong insect repellent, a raincoat (poncho type). You can recharge your electronic devices in the lodge (American-format power outlets). Each maloca is equipped with a private bathroom with shower (cold water, good pressure). The lodge has drinking water available.   Discovery of Tayrona Park

  

  A car will take you from the surroundings of Tayrona Park to Cañaveral (round trip). Journey duration: about 30 minutes. Free day in Tayrona Park, one of Colombia’s natural jewels, where tropical jungle, idyllic beaches and ancestral remains meet. During your visit, you can hike through lush vegetation and, with a bit of luck, observe monkeys, iguanas and tropical birds, before reaching spectacular beaches such as Cabo San Juan, La Piscina or Arrecifes. This visit will immerse you in the heart of the colonial era, among colorful houses and lively parks. It is the ideal opportunity to go back in time and relive the highlights of this city, the second Spanish stronghold established on the South American continent. Cartagena was for a long time the scene of repeated pirate attacks, including those of the famous captain Francis Drake. You will explore the beauty of its monuments, its churches and its iconic ramparts, witnesses of the past that still challenge the horizon today.   LA BOQUILLA: TRADITIONAL FISHING AND CUISINE

  

  An excursion dedicated to adventure lovers and authentic encounters, far from the beaten track. Early departure from your hotel towards La Boquilla. Upon your arrival in this fishing village, you will be welcomed by the local Afro-Cartagenian community. The inhabitants will share with you their ancestral techniques: net fishing and crab fishing. You will then discover the secrets of coastal cuisine and learn how to prepare fish and crabs, accompanied by the traditional coconut rice. You will finally taste the fruit of your fishing in the company of the fisherman's family who will have accompanied you. Return to Cartagena planned for early afternoon.   DAY PASS ROSARY OF THE SEA

  

  Transfer from your hotel to the Cartagena pier (about 15 minutes). Enjoy a day of relaxation on an island in the Rosario archipelago, a paradise-like place where you can admire the beauty of the landscapes and the turquoise waters characteristic of the Caribbean Sea. Meet at the pier to set course for Isla Grande, the largest island in the archipelago. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed with a welcome cocktail, during which the various activities offered on site (at an additional cost) will be presented to you, such as snorkeling, a mangrove tour or a visit to the aquarium. You can thus organize your day at your own pace and enjoy the white-sand beaches as you wish. Whatever program you choose, the navigation team will ensure your return to Cartagena in the middle of the afternoon.
