You will then embark on a scenic drive of approximately 7 hours to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, with a lunch stop en route. • day 2:

Gorilla Trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for Canoe Ride

Early in the morning, your safari guide will meet you at the lodge and accompany you on a short transfer to the Bwindi briefing point by 7:00 AM to begin your gorilla trekking experience. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by Bakiga women performing traditional songs and dances before the official briefing begins. You will then be assigned a ranger guide and grouped with up to seven other guests, before setting off on your trek through the dense forest of Bwindi in search of a gorilla family. Trekking durations vary, as gorillas move freely through the forest and may be located at a distance — for your comfort, we recommend hiring a porter to assist with your backpack and provide support along the steep and sometimes slippery trails. After this unforgettable wildlife encounter, you’ll be transferred to the stunning Lake Bunyonyi, where you can enjoy optional activities such as a peaceful canoe ride, a nature walk, or simply relaxing by the lake.
