  • day 6

    Safari in Tarangire National Park

Safari dans le parc national du Tarangiré

After a short briefing and loading your luggage into the vehicle, you head towards Tarangire National Park. The giant baobabs, bush savannah, and seasonal marshes add to the wonder of this nature reserve. The park covers about 2,600 km², which is roughly the size of Luxembourg. Tarangire National Park is considered one of the best places in East Africa to see elephants up close. One reason is that there are about 4,000 animals in the area, and another is that the elephants are not too bothered by the presence of motor vehicles. Besides watching elephants, you will also have the chance to see the beautiful Maasai giraffe, various gazelles and antelopes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, baboons, and more than a hundred different species of birds. After a day of wildlife viewing, you will leave the park in the afternoon and head to the city of Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport for your return flight or your connection to Zanzibar.
