Arrival in TanzaniaUpon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Moshi for a briefing and gear check. You’ll have time to relax and prepare for the climb.
day 2:
Machame Gate (1,800m) – Machame Camp (3,000m)Your adventure begins with a drive to Machame Gate. After registration, you'll hike through a beautiful rainforest, spotting unique flora and fauna. The trail gradually ascends to Machame Camp, where you'll spend your first night on the mountain. Machame Camp (3,000m) – Shira Camp (3,840m)Today, the landscape changes as you leave the rainforest and enter the moorland zone. Shira Camp (3,840m) – Lava Tower (4,630m) – Barranco Camp (3,900m)This is an important acclimatization day. You’ll ascend to Lava Tower at 4,630m before descending to Barranco Camp. Barafu Camp (4,640m) – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Mweka Camp (3,100m)The most challenging yet rewarding day! You’ll begin the final ascent around midnight, trekking through the cold and darkness to reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise. After celebrating at the summit, you'll descend to Mweka Camp. day 8:
Mweka Camp (3,100m) – Mweka Gate (1,640m) – MoshiA final descent through the rainforest brings you to Mweka Gate, where you’ll receive a summit certificate. You’ll then be transferred back to your hotel in Moshi for a well-deserved rest. Hiking Time: 3-4 hours Distance: 10 km (6.2 miles) Habitat: Rainforest Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
day 9:
Departure DayAfter breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport or continue your adventure in Tanzania with a safari or Zanzibar beach holiday.
