Alfie, the owner/driver/guide, leads all the tours himself and, for larger groups, he has an assistant. He is trained, motivated and experienced in leadership and group dynamics. He combines in-depth knowledge of local conditions, wildlife, immigration, vehicles and mechanical expertise with a passion for overland safari to ensure a successful trip. Qualified caregivers or medical assistants can be arranged on request. What type of accommodation is provided? A range of fully equipped accommodation is used, including bungalows and chalets in main and private camps. The bungalows have bathrooms with walk-in showers and the chalets in the private reserves have their own ablutions with a shower or bath. All accommodations are equipped with solid beds off the ground. Arrival the day before the safari departure: You must arrive at least 1 day before the start of the safari, as we leave early that day. We can arrange airport and hotel transfers at a small additional cost. What culinary delights can I expect? Epic Enabled offers a range of healthy meals per day (see individual itineraries) - which include stews, pasta, barbecues, traditional African dishes like Potjie served in a boma, picnics, etc. Vegetarians and those with special dietary requirements will always have a choice of different meals. Accessible vehicles: We have a variety of vehicles available, depending on the size of the group. Our accessible vehicles are specially adapted by qualified mechanics for wheelchair (disabled) passengers to travel safely and comfortably. Wheelchairs are secured using factory-built quick-release tie-down devices to ensure safety when the vehicle is in motion. These tie-down devices are bolted and secured to the vehicle body structure, which enhances safety aspects in all respects. Large groups: 8 to 14 passengers: Our latest addition is the Iveco 50C15V18 bus with hydraulic lift for passengers. The cabin was specially built for passengers, with factory-made seats with seat belts, of which the middle row has been removed for wheelchair users. We can accommodate 4 to 6 wheelchair passengers (some will need to be transferred to standard vehicle seats) and 8 to 10 additional seated passengers (not in wheelchairs). Medium groups: 4 to 8 passengers: We use a Mercedes Benz Sprinter 518 bus with hydraulic lift for passengers. This Sprinter can accommodate up to 4 wheelchair passengers (standard size wheelchairs) seated in their wheelchair, secured to the floor, and 8 other seated passengers (not in wheelchairs). Please note that electric wheelchairs are welcome, but they limit the availability of other wheelchairs as they are generally larger and require more space. Please advise us when booking. What insurance do you need? It is mandatory for all travelers to have their own valid medical and travel insurance to cover overland travel, including repatriation. Epic Enabled manages Public and Passenger Liability insurance according to international and European standards. What are the health risks? Some of our safaris and tours take us through Kruger National Park, which is in the malaria region. We therefore strongly recommend our clients take malaria prophylaxis. This is the greatest risk on tour; please consult your local travel medicine clinic for up-to-date details on vaccinations. What other information? For more information on how and where to join your tour, general prerequisites and clothing, luggage, climate, general health, personal medical kit, pocket money, currency, passports and visa requirements, etc., contact us.

Day 2, 3 and 4: Kruger National Park

We spend the next 3 days in Kruger National Park. This 2-million-hectare paradise is home to the Big Five and many other species of animals, birds, and plants. Kruger Park is a top local and international game park, offering, in addition to its excellent camps, magnificent views and a tranquil setting. The park offers exciting walks through dense bush and dry thickets. During your stay, most of the time, you will be able to observe game during your morning and evening walks, discovering the inner beauty of this memorable park. This is where you can explore your photography skills or capture the sight of this incredible variety of wildlife as a souvenir to take home. Our nights are spent in different main and private camps throughout the park, with the first 2 nights at Skukuza camp and nights 3 and 4 at Satara camp (please note that this depends on availability and may change). Optionally, on request, it is possible to do a night safari*. (B/L/D)

Day 5, 6 and 7: Private game reserve

After breakfast and a morning safari, we leave Kruger National Park to head towards a magnificent private game reserve, well known for the reintroduction of animals into the wild and the hand-rearing of orphaned animals, where we spend 3 nights. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives, as well as bush walks. It is even possible to touch a wild cheetah. Dinner is served in a traditional "Boma" around a blazing fire. (B/L/D) Please note: Game drives in the private reserve are done in the reserve's standard vehicles and we will transfer you to the standard safari seats. We have additional straps to help you find balance if necessary. Walking or moving in a wheelchair in the bush can be difficult in dry conditions, especially in the presence of soft sand.
