From the Dadès gorges to those of Todgha, you will be carried away into a spectacular setting with unforgettable colors. From there, you will descend to the Moroccan sand desert to admire the sunset and take a camel ride. day 1
Arrival in Marrakech
Upon your arrival in Marrakech, your driver will greet you at the airport exit to take you to the heart of the Marrakech medina. You will spend your first night in a Bed & Breakfast.
day 2
Direction Palmeraie de Skoura
After a good breakfast, you will head towards the splendid palm grove of Skoura. The first crossing of the Atlas Mountains, through the Tizi-n'Tichka pass, is an opportunity to travel through its green valleys to the most famous kasbah in Morocco: Ait Benhaddou, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will continue towards Ouarzazate and finally arrive in the great palm grove of Skoura, one of the most impressive in terms of landscape. Overnight in a guest house.
day 3
Exploration of the Dadès Gorges
Today, you will head towards Tinghir. Along the Dades River, many fortresses emerge, villages formerly surrounded by imposing walls, and very tall houses made of raw earth. The most beautiful ones are found in the Dades Gorges, which you will partially travel through. Next, you will discover the magnificent Todra Gorges, where the river has created passages between the cliffs that, in some places, can reach up to 20 meters in width. Overnight in a charming guesthouse.
day 4
Heading for the Sahara
This morning, you will leave the High Atlas for the Sahara and the Tafilalet valley. On the way, it is possible to see many palm trees, formerly supplied by the "khettara," underground water supply channels, whose structures are still visible today. In the late afternoon, you will arrive in the Erg Chebbi desert, at the foot of the highest dunes in Morocco, in a typically nomadic style to spend the night there.
day 5
Route to Zagora
After a good local breakfast in the desert, you will set out on the road to Zagora, a former stop for caravans coming from Timbuktu. Passing through the villages of Rissani, Alnif, and then Tazzarine, you will see the caravan route that connected the Drâa Valley and the Tafilalet Valley. Overnight in a typical kasbah.
day 6
Heading to the Drâa Valley
On this new day, you will set out to discover the Drâa Valley, renowned for its landscapes and its many kasbahs. The road runs for a good part along the river and the splendid, fully cultivated palm grove. You will visit the famous kasbah of Tamnougalt, unique for its architecture and its history. You will continue with a short walk in the palm grove, where you can observe the cultivation of dates. At the end of the afternoon, you will arrive in Ouarzazate.
day 7
Visit of Marrakech and return flight.
This authentic stay, which immersed you in the magic of southern Morocco for 7 days, is coming to an end. Before departure for the airport, you will be able to enjoy one last visit: that of the Moroccan film studios. Your driver will then take you to Marrakech through the High Atlas.
