Amman, Madaba, Mount Nebo, King's Highway, Kerak, PetraDay dedicated to the King's Highway. Short stop in Madaba, "the city of mosaics", to visit its famous 5th-century mosaic. Visit to Mount Nebo, which offers a spectacular view of the Jordan Valley and the Holy Land. Meal. Then, we head to the immense Crusader fortress of Kerak, dating from the 12th century and rising 900 m above sea level. Lunch during the visit. Dinner and overnight in Petra. Distance: 230 km

First day of visit to Petra.We begin our hike on a little-traveled path, heading towards magnificent mountains offering views of the Wadi Araba and Mount Aaron. Then, we arrive at the spectacular monastery (Al-Deir). We head to the Lower City by taking the 790 steps to reach the Qasr al-Bint, the great temple, the Byzantine church, and the royal tombs. Lunch during the visit. Dinner and overnight in Petra. Walking time: about 5 hours.

Second day in Petra, Wadi Rum.Early in the morning, a short transfer to the main entrance of the Rose City, then we cross the famous Siq which leads to the front of Petra's Treasury: El Khazneh, a breathtaking majestic façade. We continue our hike along the Street of Facades, dominated by the imposing Djebel Al-Khubtha, where tombs and dwellings are nestled. Our walk will take us to the theater. Afterwards, we follow our path to the High Place of Sacrifice, a summit flattened by the Nabataeans. On this summit stand two obelisks carved directly into the rock. We leave the site through the main siq. Lunch during the visit. Transfer to the Wadi Rum desert (2h). Dinner and overnight in the Wadi Rum desert. Distance: 112 km - Walking time: about 5 hours
day 5
Hiking in the Wadi RumWe explore in depth the lunar landscapes of the desert. On the way, discovery of Um Fruth, the small arch that rises about fifteen meters above the ground, accessible and passable. Far from the tourist crowds, we continue our journey south through two valleys with superb white sands and incredible rocks, streaked with blue, pink, and white (Umm Muqur, then Wadi Nuqra). Lunch during the visit. Dinner and overnight in the Wadi Rum desert. Walking time: about 5 hours
day 6
Second day of hiking in Wadi Rum.We continue this magnificent hike in the midst of these red and ochre sandstone djebels. We arrive at Wadi Sabet for lunch. Here, the cooks present us with a meal consisting of fresh salads, hummus, and eggplant caviar. Then, we head north again, passing at the foot of the Um Sabatah massif. Lunch during the visit. Dinner and overnight in the Wadi Rum desert. Walking time: about 5 hours.

Wadi Rum, Dead Sea, AmmanDeparture to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on the globe: a treasure of beauty with its spectacular white mineral formations. The high salinity of the sea will offer the opportunity for a surprising swim. Free time for swimming. Lunch during the visit. Dinner and overnight in Amman. Walking time: about 2 hours.
