A New Year in the authentic, magical, and enchanting Queyras. Organized for the end-of-year festivities, this short 3-night stay focuses on discovery rather than sporting achievement and combines relaxation, conviviality, sharing, nature, and emotion! For this stay, you will enjoy a small, cozy, and very welcoming accommodation where our friends Charlotte and Philippe know how to pamper their guests. You will be staying in the heart of the village of Aiguilles, a small mountain town with narrow streets hiding many heritage treasures. Here, you can still find many active shops and even a pharmacy! Your guide will gently introduce you to the locals, the local wildlife, and will share their knowledge about snow, local history, crafts, and the architecture of the massif; they will teach you the basic techniques to enjoy this wonderful winter activity that is snowshoeing. A New Year's Eve in the heart of authentic Queyras, with a festive, colorful meal made from local products!

L'Echalp (1700 m) - La Médille (1995 m)
Meet on Sunday morning at 9:45 am at the "Yak Avenir" guesthouse and table d'hôtes in the village of Aiguilles. Welcome and presentation of the stay by your guide, then departure for the hike. Along a magnificent frozen stream, we leave the valley and enter the heart of the reserve. Observing chamois and ibex is almost certain! It's a special moment with the wild fauna... We will reach the Médille chalets, a superb viewpoint offering us an exceptional view of Mont Viso. Walking time: about 4 hours. Ascent: +295 m. Descent: -295 m. Accommodation: Guesthouse. Meals included: Lunch - Dinner.

Aiguilles (1450 m) - Peynin Alpine Pastures (1850 m)
Departure on snowshoes from the village to reach the alpine pastures along an old mule track. Beautiful crossing through the forest and discovery of the chalets... Via gentle and sunny slopes, arrival on the Serre ridge; in a "trapper" atmosphere, magnificent descent through the forest, in the powder snow, with superb panoramas of the surrounding peaks... Discovery of the many animal tracks that frequent these quiet and wild places. Walking time: about 5 hours. Positive elevation gain: + 450 m. Negative elevation loss: - 450 m. Accommodation: Bed and breakfast. Meals included: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner.

La Rua (1880 m) - Sommet Bucher (2254 m) - New Year's Eve
Small descent to cross the Aigue Agnelle bridge; ascent via pleasant slopes to reach the Col des Prés Fromage and the Bûcher summit. Exceptional viewpoint, numerous alpine chalets, and a meal by the fire in the "Clot l'Henri" sheepfold make up this rich and unforgettable day! Return to the village and New Year's Eve at the hotel, where we will start with a lively aperitif in the colors of Queyras; then we will continue with the New Year's Eve dinner, with a festive, colorful menu made from local products.
