MontrealTake advantage of some free time to explore the picturesque city of Montreal, including Mount Royal, the old town, shops, cathedrals, as well as cafés and bars. Bring your French dictionary to practice your language skills!
day 3
From Montreal to Rivière-du-LoupYour journey east continues as you cross the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River to your overnight destination, Rivière-du-Loup. Our travels take us along spectacular views through small French-speaking towns that were founded by Basque fishermen from France over 350 years ago. The Saint Lawrence River changes from fresh water to salt water in this region, so watch out for seals and other marine animals. Group dinner at the inn tonight and free time in the evening.
day 4
From Rivière-du-Loup to MonctonYou will go from Quebec to New Brunswick, the only officially bilingual province in Canada, so that you can continue to practice your French! It is the homeland of the Acadians, a warm and friendly people, who have a proud history and a rich culture. You will see the longest covered bridge in the world as well as the magnetic hill.
day 5
From Moncton to HalifaxThis morning, you will begin your journey in another province of the East, Nova Scotia! You will board a lobster boat cruise and enjoy an incredibly fresh lobster lunch. You will arrive in Halifax in the late afternoon, then join your guide for a walk in this beautiful Maritime city and enjoy dinner as well as the unique nightlife!
