• day 1

  From Halifax to the Bay

  After a friendly welcome from our guide Moose and an introduction to the rest of our group, you will head towards the incredible region known as the Cape Breton Highlands, which is home to Canada's Scottish heritage. You will have several breathtaking photo stops along the way and you will walk on the famous Skyline Trail, where you will keep an eye out for moose! In the evening, you will stay in a lovely youth hostel located on the Cape Breton road.

• day 2

  From the bay to the lake

  You will continue to explore the Cape Breton region. In the morning, you will have the option to add $50 for an extraordinary whale watching excursion in the Atlantic Ocean! You will continue your walk along the Cabot Trail and stop for an easy hike up to the Skyline ridge, where the views are spectacular! You will spend this evening by the lake and roast marshmallows over the campfire.

• day 3

  From the lake to Norris Point

  You will board the ferry to Newfoundland! The crossing takes about 6 hours, then you will head to Norris Point, a picturesque coastal community in Newfoundland located at the gateway to Gros Morne National Park. Take some free time in the evening with friends to explore this small town.

• day 4

  Gros Morne National Park

  Take advantage of this free day to enjoy the many activities offered in this relaxing small town. Optional activities include sea kayaking, a boat ride through the freshwater fjords carved by glaciers, or, for the more adventurous, the famous hike to Gros Morne Mountain where the view is breathtaking. After an amazing day, relax at the inn and enjoy the dinner prepared by your guide.

  From Norris Point to Botwood

  Enjoy a beautiful morning hike in Gros Morne National Park before arriving in Botwood. This town is centered around its protected deep-water port, which welcomes cargo ships and cruise liners from around the world. Depending on the time of year, you may be able to spot magnificent floating icebergs! In the evening, you will have a group meal at the inn (included) and some free time, then a beautiful morning hike in Gros Morne National Park before heading to the town of Botwood. • day 6

  From Botwood to Trinity East

  Early in the morning, you will continue your journey across the Bonavista Peninsula to a small town called Trinity East. You will explore this region by hiking the famous Skerwink Trail. On the trail, you will see layers of bedrock tilted nearly 90 degrees at Skerwink Head, as well as many other spectacular landforms. After a full day of hiking, you will enjoy a relaxing group dinner and an evening at the inn.

  From Trinity Point to St. John's

  John's, one of the oldest cities in North America. With a variety of annual events and festivals, unique attractions, as well as breathtaking land and sea landscapes, there is something for everyone. Join our guide for a city walk, then relax (or party) with a few drinks on George Street, known for its many pubs and bars! It's the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in a local pub!

• day 9

  From St. John's to the ferry

  On the way back to the mainland, we will drive part of the famous Irish Loop! It's a beautiful journey along the loop located on the southern part of the Avalon Peninsula. This region is home to the largest colony of Atlantic puffins in the world, the southernmost caribou herd in the world, the oldest permanent and continuous settlement in Canada, some of the oldest and rarest marine fossils in the world, and a unique culture that strongly reflects the settlement of Irish immigrants over the past 40 years! You will board the ferry in the early evening for your overnight adventure across the sea!

• day 10

  From Ferry to Moncton

  You will return to New Brunswick and stop to visit Hopewell Rocks, an extraordinary area of the Bay of Fundy. This is where you can see and learn about the incredible tidal changes, which are among the most significant in the world! In the evening, join your guide for a walk and a night out in the city!

• day 11

  From Moncton to Gaspé

  ONLY FOR EXTENDED HIKES ENDING IN QUEBEC CITY OR TORONTO - You will head north to Gaspésie, a beautiful region bordering the sea and the St. Lawrence River. You will spend the afternoon and evening in a unique inn called the Seashack, located on the beach, with plenty of outdoor activities and a tiki bar!

  Gaspé

  ONLY FOR EXTENDED HIKES ENDING IN QUEBEC CITY OR TORONTO You will spend the day exploring Gaspésie National Park, surrounded by the Chic-Choc and McGerrigle mountains. The altitude of these mountains deeply influences the climate, which shapes the landscape and creates a diversity of species unique to Quebec and even the world! We will go hiking and may see a moose or a caribou. Then, we will spend the evening at the Seashack to enjoy a campfire under the stars or relax in the jacuzzi! You will also have the opportunity to take part in a moonlit sea kayaking excursion!

  From Gaspé to the city of Quebec

  ONLY FOR EXTENDED HIKES ENDING IN QUEBEC CITY OR TORONTO You will spend the day exploring Gaspésie National Park, surrounded by the Chic-Choc and McGerrigle mountains.   City of Québec

  ONLY FOR EXTENDED HIKES ENDING IN QUEBEC CITY OR TORONTO You will take the time to stroll along the narrow sidewalks and cobblestone streets, visiting shops, museums, and cafés. You will enjoy another group dinner at your inn, and in the evening, you can visit a local bar to listen to live music!

  From the city of Quebec to Ottawa

  ONLY FOR EXTENDED HIKES ENDING IN QUEBEC CITY OR TORONTO - You will travel through the countryside of the beautiful province and make your way to the capital of Canada, Ottawa. After settling into our one-of-a-kind hostel, which was once a prison, join your guide for a walking tour of the city up to Parliament Hill. Finish at the ByWard Market, where you can sit at an outdoor café and enjoy the atmosphere.

  From Ottawa to Toronto

  ONLY FOR EXTENDED HIKES ENDING IN QUEBEC CITY OR TORONTO Last day of your incredible visit! You will head to Toronto for a picnic at Sandbanks Provincial Park, on one of Ontario's most beautiful beaches! You will arrive in Toronto around 6 p.m. to be dropped off at your downtown hostel.
