day 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport.Welcome on arrival and transfer to the hotel in Arusha. Overnight at the Outpost Lodge.
day 2
Arusha - Tarangire National ParkIn the morning, you will start your safari by heading towards Tarangire National Park. The park, as large as Luxembourg, covers an area of about 2,600 km². The savannah, seasonal swamps, and giant baobabs make up the landscape of this nature reserve. The park is probably one of the best places in East Africa to observe elephants. The open-roof vehicle will allow you to admire them and soak in the scenery. In addition to elephants, the park is also home to Masai giraffes, various gazelles, antelopes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, baboons, and more than 500 species of birds. After a long day of game driving, you will leave the park in the afternoon to head to Lake Burunge Tented Lodge for your overnight stay. Lunch and dinner included.
day 3
Tarangire National Park - Ngorongoro CraterAfter breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. At dawn, you will descend into the crater. Inside the world's largest caldera, you will see a diversity of black rhinos, Grant's and Thomson's gazelles, lions and leopards, elephants and mountain reedbucks in the forests on the slopes. You might also see buffaloes, spotted hyenas, and some of the more than 500 bird species in the region. After a long safari and a picnic, you will leave the Ngorongoro crater to drive to the hotel and spend the night at the Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.
day 4
Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National ParkAfter breakfast, you will continue towards the lush highlands where wheat, corn, and coffee are grown. While crossing the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you can stop for a breathtaking view of the Ngorongoro Crater before continuing to the Serengeti National Park. Serengeti means "endless plains" in the Maasai language, and for good reason: you will be able to admire the savannah as far as the eye can see. Rock formations dot the landscape where predators roam. Blue wildebeest, Thomson's gazelles, zebras, and buffaloes are all present... Through the open roof of the vehicle, you can enjoy the diversity of habitats and landscapes of the park. You will arrive in the Seronera Valley for an evening meal and an overnight stay at the Serengeti Tanzania Bush Camp, on a full board basis.
day 5
Serengeti National ParkThe whole day is devoted to observing game in the Serengeti National Park. The areas you visit will depend on where the migratory herds are located. Predators generally follow the migrating animals closely. During the short rainy season, in November and December, the herds move from the northern hills to the southern plains. During the longer rainy season, from April to June, they return to the north. As the migration depends on the annual rains, the location of the herds can vary from year to year, but your guide will know how to orient you as best as possible. You will spend another night at the Serengeti Tanzania Bush Camp (full board).
day 6
Departure from the Serengeti to the Maasai MaraAfter breakfast, we head to the Isebania border and then towards Maasai Mara. After lunch at the lodge, in the afternoon, we will go on a safari in the park. This park is perhaps the most beautiful wildlife reserve in the East African region. During our afternoon safari, we will very likely see elephants, buffaloes, lions, zebras, giraffes, and a whole range of other animals and birds in their natural habitat. Dinner and overnight at Olengoti Eco Cottage. (Full board)
day 7
Explore the Masai MaraA day to make the most of game viewing in Maasai Mara. Now, it's time for the eighth wonder of the world: Maasai Mara. This extension of the Serengeti ecosystem is a land of breathtaking panoramas: vast rolling plains and rounded hills, acacia forests, dense thickets of bush, and the Mara River.
day 8
Route to Lake Nakuru National Park. 250 km - 4 to 5 hours. An early morning safari (6 am) in the Mara to try to spot the animals you may have missed the previous day (for birdwatchers, this is the best chance to see the many bird species of the Maasai Mara). Return to the lodge for breakfast, then drive to Lake Nakuru and arrive in time for lunch at the camp. Although smaller, this picturesque park is spectacular with abundant wildlife: a wide variety of wild animals and a chance to spot the black rhino and the white rhino, which are so rare elsewhere, the elusive leopard, the Rothschild's giraffe, as well as large herds of buffalo, lions, gazelles, elands, zebras, and many more. The park also has nearly 400 bird species within its borders, among them the millions of flamingos that paint the lake's edge with their shimmering pink color. Other birds include pelicans, ostriches, marabou storks, ibises, eagles, vultures, woodpeckers, among others. After an afternoon drive, we return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

How to prepare for your visit to Kenya or Tanzania? Before leaving for Kenya or Tanzania, several tips can help you travel more serenely. On the other hand, certain formalities must inevitably be completed and we will explain what they are. First of all, regarding Kenya, an online procedure must be completed by everyone: this is an essential document, the visa. Obtaining the Kenya visa before departure is therefore mandatory for anyone wishing to travel to this country. Fortunately, since January 1, 2021, the Kenyan authorities have fully automated this process. Thus, it is possible to apply for your visa directly online. As a result, the visa will be issued within a few days (allow a maximum of two or three days). Next, the Tanzania visa is also obtained entirely online. So, just like for Kenya, the procedure is fully digitalized to obtain your electronic visa. For these 2 countries, you will need to take a covid test before your trip for now. Indeed, although both borders are open in 2022, you will still need to present a negative covid test to be able to enter the country.
