• day 1

  Arrival in Bogota

  

  Bogotá is perched at 2,600 m altitude, in the heart of the Andes mountain range. With its 9,000,000 inhabitants, it is the political, economic, and cultural capital of the country. It is a cosmopolitan city with a vibrant cultural life. It is also one of the hotspots of Latin American gastronomy. The Candelaria district: it is a haven of peace, an island in the center of the capital with its narrow streets perfect for strolling and its colonial buildings with a laid-back look. Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by a driver from Colombia Autentica. Private transfer to your hotel in the historic center of Bogotá (transport: 40 min).   Bogota

  

  Set off to discover the capital in complete freedom. A day of walking through the historic center of Bogotá. A very lively and cultural neighborhood, where many artists live. Visit the fabulous Gold Museum, the Botero Foundation, and Simon Bolivar Square. Ascent of Mont Serrate by cable car, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city of Bogotá.   Departure to the Amazon

  

  Private transfer to Bogota airport and flight to Leticia Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by a local guide from the Calanoa reserve. You will travel up the Amazon River for an hour before reaching the Calanoa nature reserve, in the heart of the Amazon jungle. Dinner and accommodation at the Calanoa reserve.

  During your stay in the Calanoa reserve, you will have a local guide available all day. You will set out to discover the Amazon jungle through numerous activities (kayak tour, wildlife and flora observation, jungle hiking, visit to an indigenous village, piranha fishing, etc.).   In the heart of the Amazon - Calanoa Reserve

  

  During your stay in the Calanoa reserve, you will have a local guide available all day. You will set out to discover the Amazon jungle through numerous activities (kayak tour, wildlife and flora observation, jungle hiking, visit to an indigenous village, piranha fishing, etc.).   Departure to Salento

  

  Your guide will take you to Leticia airport. Flight to Pereira with a stopover in Bogota. Private transfer from Pereira to the small village of Salento. Salento is a beautiful village with the typical architectural style of the coffee triangle. There you will discover a warm and proud people, as well as the history of coffee production. Excursions to the Cocora Valley depart from Salento. Accommodation: Hotel Casa de las 2 Palmas.

  Cocora Valley and Acaime Reserve

  

  The Cocora Valley is a magnificent valley located in the heart of the "zona cafetera." It is home to a tree that is a symbol of Colombia and endemic to this valley: the palma de cera, a very tall and centuries-old palm tree. You will discover this superb valley during a hike that will lead you to the Acaime reserve, where you can observe hummingbirds and enjoy a good coffee.   Discovery of the culture of the coffee zone, hosted by a family of producers.

  

  Private transfer from Salento to the small village of La Cuchilla del Salado, near Manizales. You will spend two days immersed in the daily life of a coffee-growing family, staying in a traditional farmhouse. Duwi and his family will welcome you into their home as friends and will introduce you to their region and culture. You will discover the art of coffee cultivation, visit a traditional market, the Manizales coffee cooperative, and the small village of La Cuchilla del Salado. You will go on a beautiful hike through the sumptuous and hilly landscapes of the coffee region, play Tejo (a kind of local pétanque) with your hosts, learn to cook Tamal, a typical dish of the region during a cooking workshop, and enjoy wonderful moments of sharing and exchange with Duwi and his family.

  Medellín

  Guatapé and El Peñol

  

  Guatapé is one of the most beautiful small villages in the coffee region. With its small colorful wooden houses, it exudes a childlike charm. You will also visit the Peñol rock, a huge rocky block standing in the middle of the valley.
