    Tour of the Valdés Peninsula

Tour de la péninsule de Valdes

The tour of the Valdes Peninsula will start early this morning, after your arrival on the Atlantic coast, where you will reach the peninsula. You will visit the Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Center. This facility has an excellent and informative collection on the history of this specific region of Patagonia, as well as exhibits that explain the ecosystems, flora, and regional fauna surrounding Puerto Madryn. This full-day excursion to the Valdes Peninsula will continue to Puerto Piramide, a small traditional village on the southern Atlantic coast of the peninsula. This site has started to attract tourists, as it is an excellent starting point for whale watching, with whales migrating to these shores from May to December. You will then embark on a whale watching cruise in the bay, where you will have a privileged view of the magnificent southern right whales of these waters. Today's tour will continue to Punta Norte, a region of exceptional natural beauty with a great variety of marine and land animals, such as sea lions, elephant seals, and orcas. The tour will then head to Punta Delgada to observe elephant seals and, if you are lucky, spot orcas. You will return to your hotel in Puerto Madryn.

  • day 8

The Iguazú Falls on the Argentine side

    Les chutes d'Iguazú côté argentin

This morning, you will discover the Argentine side of the waterfalls in Iguazú National Park. This park was created on October 9, 1934 and currently covers an area of 66,148 hectares. This wonderful nature reserve includes many areas, but the most important is undoubtedly that of the waterfalls, where you can contemplate spectacular and striking landscapes. The waterfalls can be admired either from the bottom of the falls, called Circuito inferior ("the lower circuit"), or from the top, Circuito superior ("the upper circuit"). From the visitor center, you can access these circuits by train or along a green path. The upper circuit extends over a length of 1,600 meters and the lower circuit over a length of 1,200 meters. In the waterfall area, it is possible to visit the trails of the most important waterfall of all: La Garganta del Diablo. From Cataratas station, you can take the train to Garganta station, where you can access the walkway that leads from the riverbank to the viewpoint. It is a fantastic journey and the view is amazing.

  • day 9

The Iguazú Falls on the Brazilian side and return flight.

As travelers often point out, "on the Argentine side, you can see the waterfalls, but on the Brazilian side, you can really see them". This morning, you will visit the Brazilian side of the waterfalls and its wide open spaces. You will start the visit in the Do Iguazú National Park, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986, two years after the park was designated by Argentina. IBAMA (the Brazilian Institute of the Environment) manages this park and is currently overseeing its revitalization. The visitor area consists of a network of walkways 1,200 meters long facing the falls, offering an impressive panoramic view. This trip ends beautifully with the discovery of the wonderful Iguazú Falls. Thus, you have been able to discover the best of Argentina and will return with memories to last a lifetime. Depending on your flight time, you may take the opportunity to do some last-minute shopping before being driven to the airport by your driver.
