Trip Description

More than a simple photo course, we offer you a real immersion in the life of a wildlife photographer. You will of course learn how to handle the technique and the settings of the camera but also to understand how to approach animals in the mountains without disturbing them. You will be able to photograph foxes, roe deer, deer, falcons and, if you are lucky, wolves and lynx. For 6 days you will live with Fabien Bruggmann, an expert in wildlife photography known worldwide for his pictures of wolves and lynxes. You will stay in the chalet that he himself has renovated, in the heart of the Haut Jura Nature Park.

Stay program

day 1:
Arrival and first walk
Free arrival near the village of Lamoura. After settling in the chalet, Fabien will take you for a first walk, camera in hand. You will have the opportunity to talk about your objectives and your level of photography and then start the photo course.
day 2:
The approach to animals
Today you will learn the art of approach. Fabien will explain to you how to find the track of animals without frightening them in order to capture magnificent pictures. You will have the opportunity to photograph, among others, chamois and golden eagles.
day 3:
Your first affut
Very early this morning, you leave for your first lookout. This is the technique used by photographers to take their best shots. You have to find a suitable area, camouflage yourself and wait for the arrival of foxes, roe deer, wild boar, marmots, and if you are (very) lucky, wolves and lynxes.
day 4:
The morning rush
For this last day in the company of Fabien, you leave at night for a hike in the mountains. You will have to arrive before daybreak to take part in another unforgettable trek with the magnificent dawn lights and the majestic view of Lake Geneva.
day 5:
First outing on your own
Because loneliness brings the emotion necessary for a beautiful photo, you now go alone to meet the animals. On Fabien's advice, you will use the techniques you have learned over the past few days to take your first big animal photo!
day 6:
Last day of the photo workshop
After these soothing few days immersed in nature, it's time to leave! Say goodbye to Fabien and drive off again. If you come by train, Fabien will take you to the station at the time of your choice.
