• day 1

  Airport - Negombo

  Arrival in Sri Lanka on the flight Welcome and transfer to the hotel in Negombo Check-in to the rooms (room available around 2:00 pm) Free day in Negombo (I recommend going to see the fishermen pulling in the nets on the beach and going there) Overnight at the hotel

• day 2

  Negombo - Yapahuwa - Anuradhapura

  Early in the morning, around 06:00 - visit to the Negombo fish market Return to the hotel and breakfast Then, on the way to Anuradhapura. On the way, you stop to visit Yapahuwa, a magnificent elevated Buddhist site. If you arrive before 17:30, I strongly advise you to go and attend the puja at the Bodhi tree temple during your free time. It is a wonderful evening experience. You will see how people offer flowers and make wishes. Return to the hotel Night

• day 3

  Anuradhapura - Mihintale - Anuradhapura

  

  Breakfast Visit of the Anuradhapura site and free time in the afternoon (I highly recommend going to see the sunset at Mihintale). Return to the hotel Night

• day 4

  Anuradhapura - Aukana - Sigiriya

  Breakfast Visit to the Buddhist site of Aukana and heading to Sigiriya. You have free time this afternoon, so you can visit the Lion Rock (at your own expense $30) or it is possible to visit Pidurangala Rock, right next to Sigiriya. Return to the hotel Night

• day 5

  Sigiriya - Ritigala - Minneriya - Sigiriya

  Breakfast Excursion to Ritigala and visit of the Ritigala monastery In the afternoon: visit to the Minneriya reserve by 4 x 4 Return to the hotel Night

• day 6

  Sigiriya - Kandy

  Breakfast Visit of two temples on the way (including a Hindu one). Free time in the afternoon to visit at your convenience the Temple of the Tooth, the botanical garden, go souvenir shopping in town, etc. Arrival and check-in at the hotel Night

• day 7

  Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

  After breakfast, drive between Kandy and Nuwara Eliya where you visit the Ramboda Falls, a tea factory and a tea plantation, with the possibility to taste the tea. Afternoon: departure towards Bandarawella through the tea plantations. Arrival at the hotel. Check-in and overnight stay.

• day 8

  Bandarawela - Ella

  Breakfast and local cooking class to learn how to prepare rice and curry. Have lunch with the same meal you prepared. Free time in the afternoon to explore the surroundings of Ella (Little Adam's Peak, Nine Arches Bridge, etc.). Night.

• day 9

  Ella - Tissamaharama

  

  Breakfast Route to Kataragama Arrival and check-in at Kataragama Possibility to participate in the puja at 5:30 pm, dedicated to the god Skanda Return to the hotel and overnight.

• day 10

  Tissamaharama - Tangalle

  With a picnic breakfast, safari in Lunugamvehera or Yala (the jeep is included, the park entrance fee will be paid on site / possibility to choose Yala if you prefer), then departure to Tangalle. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.

• day 11

  Tangalle

  Free day in Tangalle to enjoy the beach. (I recommend visiting the Mulkirigala temple at no extra cost.)

• day 12

  Galle - Airport

  After breakfast, visit of the city of Galle and the fort. Then transfer to the airport (depending on your flight schedule, it is possible to modify the last night).
