Desert tour 4 days 3 nights in Merzouga from Ouarzazate DEPARTURE FROM OUARZAZATE: DESCRIPTION: This 4-day desert tour, departing from Ouarzazate to the dunes of Merzouga and Zagora, will allow you to explore the majestic Moroccan desert in 4 days. It includes a camel trek in Merzouga, a night in a Berber camp under the stars, the discovery of ancient caravan routes by crossing the Drâa Valley with its oases and fortified kasbahs, and finally, admiring the UNESCO World Heritage site: the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou.

Stay program

day 1
Ouarzazate - Tinghir - Todra Gorges
Arrival at Ouarzazate airport. Welcome at the airport and departure for Aït Benhaddou. Lunch at the Oasis restaurant. 1h30 visit in the kasbah or at the film museum. Then, drive towards the Thousand Kasbahs and the Skoura palm grove with its picturesque landscapes. In Skoura, visit of the Amridil Kasbah. In Kelaat, take a track that crosses the Valley of Roses to the gorges and the Dadès valley, then Tinghir via Boumalne to the Todra gorges. Overnight in a hotel at the gorges with dinner.
day 2
Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga
Breakfast at 8:30 am. Departure for a one-hour walk along the Todra palm grove, before heading towards Erfoud for a stop at the Fossil Marbles, in the center of Erfoud. Lunch at a restaurant in Erfoud, 1-hour coffee break and free time. Afternoon: track towards the dunes of Merzouga (Erg Chebbi). Switch from the 4x4 to the dromedary to admire the sunset and spend the night under the Berber tent in the middle of the dunes, with a special evening.
day 3
Merzouga, Alnif, Tazarine, Nakob, Tamnougalt
After sunrise, return with the dromedaries to the hotel, where you will take a shower and have breakfast. Then, departure for Alnif via Rissani (the great souk of the south and the former capital Sijilmassa). Lunch at a local restaurant in Alnif, then continuation towards the Drâa valley. After half an hour crossing palm groves, we stop at the ancient kasbah of Tamnougalt, where we will spend the night.
day 4
Tamnougalt, Agdz, Ouarzazate
After breakfast, departure for Ouarzazate via the Tizi-n-Tiniffift pass (1660 m altitude). Arrival in Ouarzazate at 12 p.m. Lunch on site and preparation for departure to the airport. End of service at 3 p.m.
