• day 2

  MARRAKECH, GUIDED TOUR OF THE CITY

  

  Day dedicated to the guided tour of Marrakech, an imperial city with enchanting architecture and souks: the Bahia Palace, the Menara gardens, a vast olive grove, and the Majorelle gardens. The tour continues with the famous Djemaa El Fna square, the heart of the medina, with its snake charmers, jugglers, and acrobats. You will access the souks with their infinitely varied crafts.   Marrakech, Aït Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate

  

  Route to Ouarzazate through the High Atlas, passing by the Tizin’Tichka pass (2260 m) and crossing typical villages with low houses and their fortress granaries. Stop at the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a magnificent ksar listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, nestled on the side of a hill dominated by ruined fortifications. This is a type of traditional pre-Saharan dwelling. The houses are grouped inside its defensive walls, reinforced by corner towers, at Aït Ben Haddou. Then, photo stop at the Kasbah of Tinfoultoune and visit of that of Taourirt. Night in Ouarzazate.

  Ouarzazate, the Todra Gorges, Merzouga, Erfoud

  

  Departure towards the Tineghir plateau, along the Dadès valley, Skoura and El Kelaa (the city of roses). Discovery of the Jorf palm grove and the famous Todra gorges through a narrow corridor bordered by cliffs over 300 m high, one of the most impressive curiosities of southern Morocco, with the locals. Continuation towards Erfoud, located in the heart of the desert. Then, excursion by 4x4 or camelback in the gigantic dunes of Merzouga, immersion in a desert environment as impressive as it is breathtaking. Overnight in a bivouac in Merzouga.

  ERFOUD, MIDELT, FÈS

  

  Departure towards Errachidia, an image of the architectural and urban heritage of the past. You will follow the magnificent and grandiose palm grove of the Ziz valley, then head towards the village of Tizin' Talhemt, in Midelt, at an altitude of 1521 m. Road to Fez crossing Ifrane and the Middle Atlas. Night in Fez.

  Fes, guided tour of the city

  

  Day dedicated to the guided tour of Fez, a little gem of the Arab world. It is the cultural capital of Morocco. You will discover the historic center with the Andalusian quarter of the medina, founded by the Marinids. In a colorful medieval setting, you will be charmed by so much activity, richness, and diversity. The tour continues with the Koranic school, the religious university "La Karayouine," and the Nejjarine fountain. Visit of the Bou Anania Medersa, a vestige of the Marinid era. Fassi lunch in an old palace of the medina. (Exterior) visit of the Royal Palace.   Fes, Meknes, Volubilis

  

  Discovery of Meknès and awaken the legends of Sultan Moulay Ismaïl, who decided to make it a sumptuous capital in the 17th century. Located between the coastal plains and the Atlas mountains, the Ismaili city has occupied a place as a commercial and cultural crossroads since Antiquity. Nicknamed the "Versailles of Morocco," set out to discover its monumental gates: Bab El Mansour, Bab El Khemiss, El Héddine square. Then, discover the holy city of Moulay Idriss and the Roman city of Volubilis. Built in the middle of a green and flowery plain, Volubilis experienced great prosperity thanks to the trade of its precious olive oils. The remains of the city reveal all the secrets of the ancient Mediterranean past.   Route to Chefchaouen, the most beautiful city in the Rif, with its tile-covered roofs and cobbled streets on the hillside. Perched on the mountain, it offers a breathtaking view over the Laou valley. Then, head to Tetouan, a city with a Spanish feel. Its 13th-century medina, dotted with terraces and gardens of simple charm, houses a maze of winding alleys. Continue towards Tangier along the coastal road. Night in Tangier

  Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca

  

  Visit of Tangier, full of charm, facing both the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean. For centuries, it has been a cosmopolitan crossroads, at the heart of the history of the peoples of the Mediterranean. Then, visit of the medina of Tangier through the Grand Socco. You will be dazzled by the intoxicating spectacle of the colors, sounds, and smells of this very lively market. Continue through the Petit Socco, just a stone's throw from the Grand, which is even more renowned for tasting local gastronomic specialties. Then, discover the Kasbah offering a magnificent view of Spain and the Strait of Gibraltar. Continue towards Rabat. Visit the capital of the Cherifian kingdom and the country's second city. Surrounded by water, it holds a precious Roman, Andalusian, and Merinid heritage. Orientation tour: the ramparts, the Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Kasbah of the Oudayas.   Essaouira, Agadir

  

  Departure along the coastal road to Agadir, the largest seaside resort in Morocco. From the top of its hill, where the ruins of the Kasbah stand, the view overlooks the city and its endless fine sandy beach. Visit the ruins of the Kasbah, remnants of the terrible earthquake of the last century. Free time for relaxation or personal discovery. Overnight in Agadir.

  Agadir, Taroudant, Marrakech
