Kitesurfing hike / downwind

Madagascar, discover this 10-day trip

Trip Description

Kitesurfing trips or "downwind" consist of starting from point A and arriving at point B by going downwind, in other words, in the direction of the wind. It's a bit like surfing an endless wave! No need to worry about getting back to your starting point, our boat ensures your safety and comfort throughout this adventure (+/- 3 hours of supervised navigation). Kitesurfing offshore or inside the lagoon, among dolphins, whales, and turtles, is a unique experience. We organize your excursion from the south to the north of Tulear along the entire 8-day route along the 3rd largest coral reef in the world. This route can also be done on a traditional schooner. Our boat and our 4x4 safety vehicle allow for breaks, hydration along the way, and ensure the replacement or repair of your kitesurfing equipment so you can fully enjoy your trip. Every evening, a night at the hotel or camping is planned. The expert advice of our certified instructor will be necessary for intermediate kitesurfers to learn how to go downwind! Although it seems simple, downwind is not "natural" because, since your initiation, you have learned to go upwind... and here, you will have to let go, relax (!) to go in the direction of the wind; the famous southern wind that blows all year round. The handling of the kite and your board changes, as do the sensations—it's truly an experience you will remember for the rest of your life.
