  • day 1

    Arrival in Cancun

Upon your arrival at Cancun airport, pick up your rental vehicle, then head to your hotel in Playa del Carmen (45 min).

  • day 2

Swim with the turtles and visit Tulum.

Departure from Playa del Carmen to a small fishing village, where you can swim with the turtles present here all year round. Then, continue with a visit to the impressive site of Tulum and its magnificent view from its structure overlooking the Caribbean. You will then head to Tulum.

  • day 3

Visit of Coba and swimming in a cenote.

Start the day with a visit to the impressive site of Coba. The site is quite large and can be visited by bike (rental available on site). Its pyramid, one of the tallest in the Yucatan, offers an impressive view of the jungle and is one of the few you can still climb. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a well-deserved refreshing swim at the Gran Cenote. Overnight in Tulum.

  • day 4

Swimming at Sian Ka'an - Bacalar

Departure in the morning towards Bacalar, a small fishing village also called "the Mexican Maldives" or the "lagoon of 7 colors", referring to the shades of blue, turquoise, and green. On the way, you will go to Sian Ka'an. You will cross two lakes with magnificent turquoise colors, connected by a small canal dug by the Mayans in pre-Hispanic times. Then, you will swim in the transparent waters of the river to let yourself be carried effortlessly by the current for about 1 km. Upon arrival in Bacalar, you will have the opportunity to take a boat ride on the lagoon, where you will see the cenotes directly integrated into the lagoon, as well as the "pirates' passage", where you will be introduced to the practice of the "Maya bath" by covering yourself with sand with exfoliating properties.

  • day 5

    Calakmul

Definitely, Calakmul is a site that nature wanted to keep for itself. Discovered only recently, the site is quite far from everything and especially from mass tourism. You will feel like Indiana Jones discovering the site for the first time. With its 2 pyramids, which you can (and even should) climb, you will have a 360° view of the jungle and the dense tropical forest stretching as far as the eye can see, like a green sea extending to the horizon. There is a strong possibility of spotting different species of monkeys and other animals on the site.

  • day 6

    Campeche

Departure to Campeche, arrival in the morning. You will visit one of the prettiest coastal towns of Yucatán and its colonial houses of all colors. You may find a slight resemblance to Cuba!

  • day 7

    Campeche - Uxmal - Merida

Departure from Campeche, you will first visit Uxmal, a site famous for its long buildings in the Puuc style and its Pyramid of the Magician. After the visit, you will head to Mérida.

  • day 8

    Old hacienda and cenote

Departing from Mérida, you will first visit an old 16th-century hacienda. A vestige of the great era of the industrial sisal culture (used for ropes until the arrival of synthetic fibers), it retains a somewhat nostalgic charm. After lunch, you can swim in an open cenote at San Antonio Mulix, one of the most beautiful in the region.

  • day 9

    Cenote day on horseback.

Today, you will head towards 3 cenotes that have the particularity of being accessed by carts on old rails pulled by a horse. A wonderful day for families! You will be able to swim and take your cart again to go from one cenote to another.

  • day 10

    Izamal - Chichén Itzá

Departure from Merida, you will take the road, not far from there, to visit Izamal, the yellow city. Izamal is classified as a "pueblo mágico" (magical village) because pre-Hispanic ruins and Spanish architecture are mixed there, as well as the very beautiful convent dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua. Continue to Chichen Itza to visit the archaeological site. This site is one of the 7 wonders of the world and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as it is built in a very precise location that reveals the shape of a serpent on the days of the equinox. You will discover many temples as well as the largest ball game court in Mesoamerica.

  • day 11

    Rio Lagartos - Ek Balam

Departure from Valladolid to reach Rio Lagartos. On the way, you will visit a site rarely frequented by mass tourism: Ek Balam (the Black Jaguar in Yucatec). Then, in the afternoon, you will take a boat ride where you will have the opportunity to see the largest colony of pink flamingos in Mexico, more than 390 species of birds, and maybe even crocodiles.

  • day 12

    Holbox
