Set out to meet the great kings of the savannah during your safaris in the many national parks. During this adventure, we will climb Kilimanjaro. With its 5,895 meters of altitude, it offers eternal snows and glaciers at its summit. We offer you the ascent via the Machame route, known to be the most suitable. To end your stay in style, we invite you to the Indian Ocean, in the heart of the magnificent Zanzibar archipelago, to relax on the pearly white sand beaches.     Kilimanjaro Airport - Hotel

    Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (according to the flight schedule arranged by you). After collecting your luggage, you will be greeted by a local representative. Assistance and then transfer to your accommodation. Briefing for the Kilimanjaro ascent by the French-speaking guide. Lunch at your leisure. Dinner and overnight at Outpost lodge or similar.

    Machame Gate (1800 m) - Machame Hut (3000 m)

    After breakfast, head to the Chaga village of Machame, which will be the starting point of this trek. Among the seven main routes used to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the Machame route is the most popular, as it offers incredible panoramas and a great variety of habitats. Through a dense rainforest, giant ferns, begonias, and ficus trees, the vegetation changes as the altitude increases. Picnic lunch. Our camp is set up near Machame camp (3000 m). Dinner and overnight stay on site. Walking time: 4 to 5 hours. Positive elevation gain: + 1,188 m. Accommodation: Bivouac under tent with full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

    Machame Hut - Shira Camp (3840 m)

    Leave the camp in the morning after breakfast. If the weather is good, a wonderful view of Uhuru (summit) will await us there. We will take a steep path through a savanna of tall grasses, volcanic rocks, and heather... Then, the first giant groundsels, like sentinels guarding an untouched treasure, will be there along the way. The trail, steeper, leads us through a ghostly landscape of volcanic lava. Caves, mossy streams along which the groundsels grow, up to the Shira plateau. The Shira camp is at 3,840 m. Lunch and dinner. Overnight on site. Walking time: 4 to 5 hours. Positive elevation gain: + 1,188 m. Accommodation: bivouac under tent with full board.

    Shira Camp - Barranco Camp (3950 m)

    We leave the Shira camp after breakfast, then head towards Kibo. The ascent is steady up to the Lava Tower pass (4,600 m) for acclimatization. We then begin the descent towards Barranco camp, located on the edge of a gigantic canyon. The Great Barranco is home to giant groundsels, well-watered by countless small waterfalls that converge there. The camp is at 3,950 m. Lunch and dinner. Overnight stay on site. Walking time: 6 to 7 hours. Positive elevation gain: +1,188 m. Accommodation: bivouac under tent with full board.

    Barranco Camp - Karanga Camp (4200 m)

    Barranco Camp - Karanga Camp (4200m)

    After breakfast, walk to reach the Karanga camp at 4200 m. Impressive encounter with the great Barranco wall. No difficulty. Then, a long traverse, made up of ascents and descents on the slopes of Kilimanjaro during the morning. In the afternoon, we will take time to acclimatize around the camp. Lunch and dinner. Overnight stay on site. Walking time: 3 to 3h30. Accommodation: bivouac under tent with full board.

    Walk to reach Barrafu camp at 4600 m. On the right is the majestic Mount Mawenzi and, above our heads, Kibo (summit). Walking time: 2h30 to 3 hours. Accommodation: bivouac under tent with full board.

    Barrafu Camp - Uhuru - Mweka Camp (3100 m)

    Barrafu Camp - Uhuru - Mweka Camp (3100m)

    Departure around midnight with a temperature between -2 and -15 degrees Celsius. We will progress on slopes up to the foot of the Ratzel and Rebman glaciers, between which we will enter. The slope is steep and zigzagging. The unreal atmosphere, in the midst of these hanging glaciers, is a unique experience. After 6 hours of walking, at the first light of dawn, we will arrive at the edge of the crater, between Stella Point and Hans Mayer. It takes another 45 minutes to 1 hour of walking along the usually snowy ridge of the volcano to reach the summit Uhuru Peak (5,896 m). Descent to Barrafu camp, where it is recommended to rest for 30 minutes to 1 hour and drink, then continue to Mweka camp (3,100 m). Walking time: 10 to 14 hours. Positive elevation gain: +1,458 m. Negative elevation loss: -2,929 m. Accommodation: Bivouac under tent. Night under the tent with full board.

    After breakfast, direct descent to the gates of the park. Downhill walk through the forest as on the first day. Certificates will be awarded to those who reach the summit. The descent lasts 3h30. Lunch en route and transfer to the hotel. Check-in then free time. Dinner and overnight at Outpost lodge or similar. Positive elevation gain: 0 Negative elevation gain: -1,300 m.

    After breakfast and preparing the bags around 8:00 am, departure for Tarangire National Park. This park, created in 1970, covers an area of 2,600 km2. It is located in the middle of the Maasai steppe. Its name comes from the Tarangire River that runs through it, a water source for animals during the dry season. The concentration of animals is high at this time: elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, lions, leopards, cheetahs, dik-diks. This park is also known for its majestic baobabs. Transfer: 2h30. Accommodation: at the tented camp outside the park with full board.

    Lake Manyara National Park

    After breakfast and preparing the bags, in the morning around 8:00 am, departure to enter the park. This park, located in the Rift Valley, has an area of 330 km² and is composed of two parts: the lake and a tropical forest. The park has an impressive variety of wildlife, birds, and vegetation. The lake, very alkaline, is home to dozens of pink flamingos and birds. Transfer: 2h30. Accommodation: at the tented camp outside the park, with full board.

    After breakfast and preparing the bags, departure for Serengeti National Park by crossing the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After entering Ngorongoro and arriving at the edge of the crater, we will descend westwards, crossing the vast plains of the Serengeti while observing the animals. These immense plains are renowned for their concentrations of wildebeest (if it is the wildebeest migration period), zebras, and their predators, in constant circular migration in search of pastures. We will follow the tracks and the animals to the Seronera campsite (located in the center of the park). Transfer: 4h00. Accommodation: at the tented camp in the park with full board.

    Day dedicated to discovering the park by taking the many trails that allow you to get close to the animals in magnificent landscapes. You can also follow the migration of the wildebeest. Enjoy this adventure in the heart of the savannah to experience unforgettable moments. Accommodation: tented camp in the park, full board.

    After breakfast in the morning and preparing the bags, departure for the descent into the crater. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers an area of 8,288 km² and is home to a 260 km² crater with a diameter of 20 km. It is a unique place due to its setting, which was created to protect wildlife and allow the Maasai people to coexist in this territory. Observation of the many herds of wildebeest, buffalo, zebras, hippos, lions, hyenas, Thomson's gazelles, large elephants, and flamingos. After 6 hours of discovering this wonderful nature, exit the crater to go to the Karatu camp. Transfer: 3h30. Accommodation: at the tented camp in the park with full board.

    Karatu - Arusha - Zanzibar

    Karatu - Arusha - Zanzibar

    After breakfast, preparation of the bags, then departure for Arusha. Transfer to the airport for Zanzibar. Upon arrival at the airport, welcome by your new local guide, then assistance. Transfer to the hotel, then check-in. Lunch at leisure. Guided tour of Stone Town; this city has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With the guide, you will walk in the footsteps of the Arab sultans of Zanzibar. Discover the wonderful labyrinths of Zanzibar, visit the historical sites, the doors of Zanzibar. Dinner at leisure. Overnight at Al Johari Hotel Zanzibar (or similar hotel).

    After breakfast at 09:00, enjoy a short boat trip to discover the giant tortoises. As an option, you will have the opportunity to try snorkeling. Return to the city at noon, free lunch in a restaurant. After lunch, at 14:00, transfer and then check-in. Overnight at Reef & Beach Resort Jambiani Zanzibar or similar. Accommodation: three nights in a double room with half board (breakfast and dinner).
