Depart from Buenos Aires to discover the most iconic mountains and glaciers of Patagonia: Fitz Roy, Torre, Perito Moreno, Torres del Paine Park. Hikes in contact with nature and discovery of this still wild region, swept by winds and memories of explorers. The Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina as well as Torres del Paine National Park in Chile, declared World Heritage Sites for their extraordinary natural beauty, are home to numerous glaciers, lakes, icebergs, and rivers. They offer a magnificent spectacle of granite spires soaring towards the sky in a centuries-old struggle against erosion. You will sail on Lake Argentino facing the imposing glaciers, then on the Magellan Strait in Chile to meet penguins and sea lions. You will have the opportunity to discover the mythical city of Valparaiso before your return to Buenos Aires.

    BUENOS AIRES

    Welcome to Buenos Aires! A member of our team will greet you, give you your travel diary as well as a mobile phone. You visit Buenos Aires at your own pace.

  • day 2

    PATAGONIA IN ALL ITS GLORY…

    Flight to El Calafate, then transfer to El Chaltén, a small hikers' village and the national capital of trekking. On the way, you discover the turquoise waters of lakes Argentino and Viedma. You catch sight of the impressive flow of the Viedma glacier, then the slender silhouette of the Fitz Roy massif appearing on the horizon. Arrival in El Chaltén at the end of the day.

    MEETING WITH THE FITZ ROY

    Departure for a long but very beautiful hike, which allows you to discover the Piedras Blancas glacier, the Fitz Roy massif, and the Madre and Hija lagoons, in the heart of magnificent and wild landscapes. The bravest can, halfway through, climb the moraine that leads to the foot of Fitz Roy, facing the Laguna de los Tres.

    MYTHICAL SUMMIT OF PATAGONIA

    Easy hike to discover the valley of the Rio Fitz Roy up to the Torre lagoon, which, fed by the glacier of the same name, is located at the foot of a granite needle a little over 1000m high, topped by an ice cap. A mythical summit of Patagonia, its ascent remains one of the most difficult in the world, and the beauty of the site lives up to its reputation. You leave El Chalten by bus at the end of the day to arrive in the evening at El Calafate.

    The Perito Moreno Glacier

    Departure by minibus to discover the famous Perito Moreno glacier, the most active in Patagonia, whose blocks of ice break off with a crash into the waters of Lake Argentino. You reach Los Glaciares National Park via the old road that runs along the lake. A few kilometers from the Perito Moreno glacier, a short walk off the beaten path with a breathtaking view of the ice giant. Finally, a walk on the observation walkways facing the surprising colors of this magnificent glacier. Return to El Calafate by the conventional road.

    ICE AND ICEBERGS

    Navigation on the turquoise waters of Lake Argentino. Stroll among the icebergs, sometimes several tens of meters high, to finally reach the glaciers, impressive rivers of ice over 50 meters high and several hundred meters wide, flowing into the lake.

  • day 7

    Torres del Paine National Park

    Crossing the pampa to reach the Chilean border, then the Torres del Paine National Park. The road is long, but you will be able to observe rheas and guanacos in their natural habitat. You will discover the most remarkable viewpoints of the park during short walks and observe the different lakes, the impressive Salto Grande waterfall, the Paine Horns, the French Valley, and the Towers of Paine. Overnight at the refuge.

    The Towers of Paine

    Free day in Torres del Paine Park. Several short hikes near your refuge allow you to connect with nature. For the more adventurous, a whole day will be needed for the ascent to the base of the spires. Torres del Paine is magnificent. These impressive steep towers feature more than 1000 m of vertical granite wall, overlooking a small glacier set on a glacial lake.

    Punta Arenas

    You reach Punta Arenas by local bus during the day. Free visit of the city. We recommend the Salesian Museum, which is very rich in information and images about the Selk'nam people who lived in this inhospitable region of the globe, as well as the Cape Horners' cemetery and the city center.

  • day 10

    THE MAGELLANIC PENGUINS

    Early morning departure by minibus to board for Magellan Island, on the canal of the same name, where the largest colony of Magellanic penguins in Patagonia is located. You spend an hour on the island with the penguins, then board for Marta Island to see sea lions.

  • day 11

    VALPARAISO

    Flight to Santiago then transfer to Valparaiso. Free visit of the port and its hills with a thousand colors. Valparaiso has managed to keep its charm over time, while becoming the South American capital of street art!

  • day 12

    VALPARAISO

    Free day in Valparaiso. We recommend the "Cerro Alegre" district, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its open-air museum takes you through small alleys to discover murals painted by the many artists of the city. Don't miss Pablo Neruda's house-museum, located on the heights of the city!

    VALPARAISO - BUENOS AIRES

    Flight to Buenos Aires. End of the day free in Buenos Aires.

  • day 14

    LAST DAY IN BUENOS AIRES

    End of your stay. Three hours before your flight, you go to the airport.
