  • day 1

    Day 01: Arrival in Yangon

    ♦ Trip to Burma: arrival at the international airport in Yangon. ♦ Welcome by our French-speaking guide. ♦ Transfer to the hotel for check-in. ♦ Depending on your arrival time, initial visits are possible or rest. ♦ Overnight in Yangon.

    Day 02: Yangon discovery

    ♦ Breakfast at the hotel. ♦ Visit of the old colonial-style city center, the city hall, Mahabandoola Park with the Independence Monument, Strand Road and the Rangoon Jetty by car, according to the "Travel in Burma" program. ♦ Visit of the Botahtaung Pagoda and Ahma Mya Nan Nwe, a devotee at the Botahtaung Pagoda. ♦ In the afternoon, meeting at Chaukhtatgyi to visit the colossal Reclining Buddha Pagoda, then continue the visit to the Karaweik Hall, the royal barge on the Royal Lake. ♦ Stop for photos and observation of the world-famous Shwedagon Pagoda. ♦ Overnight in Yangon.

    Day 03: Yangon – Bagan

    ♦ Breakfast at the hotel, departure towards Bagan. ♦ Arrival in Bagan, visit of the most famous pagodas of Bagan. ♦ Trip to Myanmar: visit of Kyansittha Uhmin, Gupaukgyi, a 13th-century cave temple with beautiful frescoes illustrating scenes from the Jataka. ♦ In the afternoon, visit of the Htilominlo temple with old mural paintings and friezes, then pass through the Tharabar gate in Old Bagan and visit the Ananda temple, a whitewashed masterpiece with four standing Buddha images, the Thatbyinnyu temple, and the Dhamayangyi temple, famous for its particularly thick mortar and masonry. ♦ At the end of the afternoon, visit the Shwesandaw pagoda to admire the beautiful sunset. ♦ Return to the hotel and overnight at the hotel.

    Day 04: Bagan – Mandalay

    ♦ Discovery of the ancient city of Bagan: above, a magnificent overview of the millennia-old pagodas, temples, and the river. ♦ Cruise control through time. Boarding is at 11:30 am at Bagan Oui Yar, at the jetty. ♦ Welcome cocktail in the lounge. ♦ Lunch will be served. ♦ Late afternoon stop in a typical riverside village.

    Day 05: Cruise in Mandalay - Visit to the riverside village

    ♦ Trip to Burma: upstream, all-day cruise from Mandalay with a stop in the morning to visit Yandabo, a typical riverside village specialized in pottery making, where the peace treaty of the First Anglo-Burmese War was signed on February 24, 1826. Mooring for the night very close to a village – Ywar Thit Gyi or Pauk Myaing Pauk Taw – a few miles away from the Ava bridge.

    Day 06: Mandalay – Amarapura – Mandalay

    ♦ Enjoy the sunrise after breakfast, then visit Sagaing or Gawein around 09:30. ♦ Visit of Amarapura. ♦ Visit of a traditional hand-woven silk workshop. ♦ In the afternoon, guided tour of Mandalay including the Mahamuni Pagoda, gold leaf making, Mandalay Palace, Kuthodaw Pagoda surrounded by 729 inscribed marble slabs. ♦ Overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.

    Day 07: Mandalay – Heho – Kalaw Trekking

    ♦ After breakfast, departure to Heho. ♦ Drive to Kalaw for a trip with a beautiful view of the rice terraces in the valley surrounded by pine forest. ♦ Visit through the pine forest on the way to the Pa-O village. ♦ Discovery of the solitary Pan village of the Pa-O tribes. ♦ One-hour journey to ShaPin village of the Danu tribes, passing through the thick pine forest with superb views, and visit to a forest monastery. ♦ Lunch at your leisure. ♦ Discovery of the Danu tribes' village at the top of the mountain with an overview, then continuation of a 2.5-hour trip with a view of a vast valley filled with rice terraces and small villages. ♦ Return to the hotel and overnight in Kalaw.

    Day 08: Kalaw – Inle Lake

    ♦ After breakfast, departure to the Nyaung Shwe jetty to take the boat transfer to the hotel. ♦ Visit of Inle Lake. ♦ Visit of Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, a beautiful old teak wood construction. ♦ Transfer to the hotel and overnight at the hotel.

    Day 09: Heho – Yangon – Thandwe

    ♦ Breakfast at the hotel, departure for Heho airport for the domestic flight to Thandwe. ♦ Arrival at Thandwe airport, welcome by the hotel staff. ♦ Transfer to the hotel on Ngapali beach. ♦ Overnight at Ngapali beach.
