day 2
Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National ParkYou will take the car early in the morning and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will arrive at Flamingo Hills Camp at noon. Arrival and lunch. In the afternoon, you will go on a game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park was created to protect the huge population of flamingos. On the shore, waterbucks, Bohor reedbucks, and zebras roam the grasslands. Lake Nakuru is home to both black and white rhinos. In 1987, only two black rhinos remained due to the devastating effects of poaching. By creating a protected area for rhinos within the park and crossbreeding with a breeder from Laikipia, the Kenya Wildlife Service (K.W.S.) succeeded in increasing the number of rhinos in the park. Wildlife viewing is relatively easy and will be possible until sunset. Buffaloes, leopards, lions, Rothschild's giraffes, and colobus monkeys can be found in the forest. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp.
day 3
Lake Nakuru National Park - Maasai MaraYou will continue the safari to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, so named to mean the "spotted plains" in the Maa language. This is where the largest concentration of large mammals is found, and it is widely recognized as Africa's ultimate wildlife reserve. The park is the northern extension of the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual wildebeest migration. Transfer to the lodge with a driver and, after check-in, a hot lunch. Later in the evening, enjoy a game viewing drive in this spectacular place with breathtaking landscapes, endless plains, and the greatest variety of wildlife remaining in the world. The landscape consists of rolling savannahs dotted with scattered shrubs and bushes. All meals and overnight at Ilkeliani camp.
day 4
Maasai MaraDuring your stay, you will have the opportunity to explore this vast reserve in depth. You will be able to see elephants, giraffes, lions, thousands of impalas, topis, hartebeests, and Thomson's gazelle. Birds are prolific, including migratory species: 450 bird species have been recorded, including 57 birds of prey. The Mara is the stage for the annual migration of millions of wildebeest coming up from the Serengeti plains in search of water and grass. During your stay in the Mara, you will have the opportunity to float above the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem in a hot air balloon, followed by a gourmet champagne breakfast. You can also visit a Maasai tribal village and enjoy the entertainment of Maasai dancers (optional with extra charge). All meals and overnight stay at Ilkeliani camp.
day 5
Maasai Mara - Lake NaivashaAfter breakfast and check-in, you will go to Lake Naivasha, which is the first of the Rift Valley lakes and is located at the foot of Mount Longonot, on the north side. It was on Lake Naivasha that the first air passengers in East Africa used to land with Imperial Airways by hovercraft. After lunch at the camp, take a boat ride in the afternoon to identify the many different birds in this area. Dinner and overnight at Naivasha Sopa Lodge. http://www.sopalodges.com/lake-naivasha-sopa-lodge/overview
day 6
Lake Naivasha - Amboseli National ParkEarly in the morning, drive to Amboseli National Park. The park is famous for its big game and the beauty of its landscapes, dominated by Mount Kilimanjaro. It offers an interesting contrast with its dry and dusty appearance, which can be attributed to the volcanic ash emitted by Mount Kilimanjaro during its last eruption. Despite this appearance, there is a continuous supply of water, filtered by volcanic rocks from the melted snow of Kilimanjaro. These streams flow underground, creating lush green areas, and converge towards two clear water springs in the park. Dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp: http://www.kibosafaricamp.com/
day 7
Amboseli National ParkSpend an extra day in the park with morning and afternoon game drives. The wildlife is very diverse: zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, impalas, caracal and serval cats, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, etc. There are also more than 400 species of birds, including the bee-eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle, martial eagle, and pygmy falcon. Visitors mainly come to observe the immense herds of elephants. The male elephants have some of the largest tusks in all of Kenya. Visitors can also enjoy excellent views of Mt Kilimanjaro and Meru. All meals and overnight stay at Kibo Safari Camp.
