day 2
Arusha - Tarangire National ParkIn the morning, you will start your safari with a drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is about the size of Luxembourg and covers an area of approximately 2,600 km². Bushy savannah, seasonal marshes, and giant baobabs make up the landscape of this nature reserve. The park is probably one of the best places in East Africa to observe elephants. From the open roof of the safari vehicle, you will be able to watch them and take in the scenery. In addition to elephants, the park is also home to Masai giraffes, various gazelles, antelopes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, baboons, and more than 500 species of birds. After a long safari, you will leave the park in the afternoon to reach your accommodation in Karatu. Dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National ParkAfter an early breakfast, you will head towards the Ngorongoro Crater by taking a steep and narrow road. The slopes are wooded, but the landscape quickly turns into savannah dotted with occasional acacias. The wildlife there is absolutely breathtaking and, if you are lucky, you may spot the "Big Five": lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, and leopard. The crater is also home to warthogs, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and many other animals. After a morning dedicated to animal watching and a picnic lunch, you will leave the crater in the afternoon to go to Serengeti National Park, where you will spend the night. Some interesting facts about the crater, The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest volcanic caldera in the world, formed during the massive explosion of a volcano that was once higher than Kilimanjaro, about 2 to 3 million years ago. The crater has a total area of 304 km², a depth of 600 m, and a diameter of 20 km. Dinner and overnight at Thorn Tree Tented Camp. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Serengeti National ParkThe Serengeti offers landscapes, sounds, and smells that are very characteristic of Africa, with breathtaking panoramas, changing lights, and fascinating wildlife. In this park, the animals do not move according to a precise schedule. Therefore, we may encounter lions, leopards, elephants, zebras, cheetahs, antelopes, gazelles, hippos, as well as many species of birds and reptiles during our safaris. You can spend your day in the central area of the park, where your guide will know where to take you depending on the season (animal migration). Dinner and overnight at Thorn Tree Tented Camp. day 5
Serengeti National ParkHalf-day safari in Serengeti National Park. Before leaving the park, we visit the Serengeti Visitor Center to get more information about the park and to be able to follow the tracks of the wildebeest, as well as see some animals up close such as rock or tree hyraxes, porcupines, and lizards. After lunch, we leave the Serengeti and head to Karatu. Half of the journey takes place in Serengeti National Park. Before leaving the park, we visit the Serengeti Visitor Center to get more information about the park and to be able to follow the tracks of the wildebeest, as well as see some animals up close such as rock or tree hyraxes, porcupines, and lizards. After lunch, we will leave the Serengeti to head to Karatu. Dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
day 6
Walking safari in Mto wa Mbu - AirportAlthough you cannot walk in the park itself, you can enjoy walks in the villages, forests, floodplains, and hikes along the edge of the Great Rift Valley, with magnificent views of Lake Manyara. You will learn about local plants, insects, birds, and small mammals thanks to an expert guide. The walk will allow you to see local farms, houses, and the Maasai market. After the visit, you can choose to have a local lunch in the middle of the village or at the Swahili Canteen restaurant in Mto Wa Mbu. It is a day full of culture, sights, and amazing landscapes. In the late afternoon, we will go to the airport [JRO] or [ARK] to take the flight to Zanzibar.

Departure for ZanzibarWelcome at the airport, reception, transfer to the Amaan Bungalow hotel or similar. Check-in for 3 nights on a B&B basis in a standard double room.
day 8
Dolphin ExcursionPick-up at the hotel at 8 a.m., 30-minute drive to Muyuni beach, boarding a fiber speedboat to the Mnemba marine conservation area, where you can observe bottlenose dolphins and snorkel at the most famous site. Return to the hotel at 1:00 p.m.
day 9
Spice tour and stone townIn the morning, at 09:00 AM, a 45-minute drive to the Zanzibar spice plantation, which is the backbone of Zanzibar's economy. Discover the different types of spices, including vanilla, nutmeg, turmeric, and cinnamon. Continue your historical adventure in the oldest city in East Africa, where you can discover the history of Zanzibar from the Portuguese, Arab, Persian, and British colonial periods. Discovering ancient architecture and shopping will be part of the tour. Return to the hotel at 15:00.
