day 1
Serengeti National ParkAfter an early breakfast, you will head towards the Serengeti. In the south, adventurers climb the Rift Valley along the vast plains of the Serengeti. The park was founded in 1951 and is the oldest in Tanzania. At the heart of a vast ecosystem, the richness in animal species is exceptional. Together with the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya, Serengeti National Park forms one of the largest natural migration systems for wild animals. Each year, among the three mentioned conservation areas, more than 1.4 million wildebeest, nearly 300,000 Thomson's gazelles, about 200,000 zebras, and several thousand topis migrate with the rainy seasons to areas with greener and more lush grasslands. With about 3 million mammals, the Serengeti is the national park with the richest wildlife in the world. Two-thirds of animal subspecies are represented there. In addition, the park is home to other animal species, such as buffalo, hyena, elephant, or crocodile. The population of feline predators is particularly significant, with about 3,000 lions, 300 cheetahs, and between 400 and 700 leopards present on this hunting ground. Dinner and overnight stay are included, depending on the type of accommodation option chosen.
day 2
Ngorongoro CraterAfter breakfast, we, the leaders, will see the creation of Ngorongoro and continue south, partly following adventure routes at about 600 meters. You will discover the basics of creation. The crater has a diameter of 17 to 21 kilometers and is home to a great diversity of animals. Almost all the biodiversity of the East African savannah has gathered here, except for giraffes and a few other species for which the rocky walls are too steep; these animals live beyond the crater. Depending on the season, between 15,000 and 25,000 animals gather here, more than two-thirds of which are buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. The large number of grazers explains why the highest density of predators in Africa is found here. In addition to other predators, more than 100 lions live here, divided into several groups. The chances of observing the lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, and leopard, the "Big Five," within a few hours, are particularly good here. In the afternoon, the vehicle climbs back up the slopes of the crater, then heads to Karatu for dinner and the night. Dinner and overnight stay are included according to the standard and type of accommodation option required.
day 3
Tarangire National ParkAfter breakfast, we head towards Tarangire National Park. The giant baobabs, the wild bush nature and the seasonal marshes contribute to the beauty of the nature reserve. The park is considered one of the best places to observe elephants up close. Buffaloes, zebras and wildebeest can also be found there, always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen from time to time, but cheetahs are rarely spotted. After parking your safari vehicle, you can soak in the landscape and observe the animals. At the end of the afternoon, you leave the park to go to Arusha or JRO.
