day 1
ArrivalUpon your arrival at Dar es Salaam International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a member of our team who will take you to your hotel. Despite its name, which means "abode of peace" in Arabic, Dar es Salaam is the largest and most vibrant city in Tanzania. It is the country's most important business and commercial center, located on the Indian Ocean. It is the main port of call for most visitors, as it is the ideal place to access both the wild areas and the beaches of Tanzania and Zanzibar. Here, you can relax, have a drink at the bar, and recover from your journey. Accommodation: Hotel Slipway https://www.hotelslipway.com/ Meal plan: Bed & Breakfast

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Selous will offer you extraordinary opportunities for wildlife experiences. As Selous is a game reserve (and not a national park), we have the possibility to follow animal herds off-road, in their natural habitats. Your full day of game viewing always includes searching for predators. Maybe today will be a lucky day and allow us to spend time with one of the prides of the reserve: the resident lions of Selous. Lunch by one of the many lakes while watching the birds and animals passing by. In the late afternoon, we will return to the camp, perhaps for a refreshing swim in the pool, before a cool drink by the campfire and a good dinner while listening to the grunts of the hippos in the river. Walking safari before returning to Dar es SalaamWake up before sunrise to prepare for the final stages of the safari adventure. Ready for a new adventure, you will cross the river by boat before meeting your new guide and patrolman, who will explain in detail the rules of walking in the desert. You will head into the bush for a walking safari with an indigenous bushman and a guard. The main goal of this trip is to discover "the little five," the smallest inhabitants of nature, as well as to learn how to track animals and tell them apart. You will learn to read footprints and may even encounter larger animals. After this exciting morning, we will return to the lodge for breakfast, then we will check out of the hotel before heading back to Dar es Salaam.
