LOST TRAILS OF UPPER TONKIN - 14 DAYS

Vietnam, discover this 14-day trip

Trip Description

This trip allows you to truly discover the capital of Hanoi with its numerous monuments: temples, pagodas, museums… and to meet many mountain ethnic groups in the Upper Tonkin region in Ha Giang. These ethnic groups are settled at the borders of Vietnam, near China, in the high Song Chay massif and at the foot of the Tay Con Linh massif. You set off to discover the magnificent landscapes of terraced rice fields and karst peaks, with a few days of hiking for a total immersion in the heart of local life. Then, discover the "masterpiece" of Dong Van with karst peaks along the “Happiness Road” and a panoramic view of Mount Ma Pi Leng (a mountain shaped like a horse's nose ridge) – one of the four highest and, of course, the most impressive mountains in Vietnam. Meet the minority ethnic groups in Bao Lac. This tour first takes you to Ba Be Lake, also known as: "Ha Long Bay in the mountains." We invite you to discover this lake and its surroundings from another perspective, with two days of hiking to fully immerse yourself in the life of the minority ethnic groups: the Tay and the Yao. And you will take a discovery trip to the limestone mountains of the Pu Luong Nature Reserve, where the fantastic terraced rice fields are sculpted by the local ethnic groups: the Thai and the Muong. Next, you will discover Tam Coc (terrestrial Halong Bay) by bike, with its landscapes. To conclude your trip, you will explore the mysterious Lan Ha Bay on a traditional junk, sailing among thousands of karst islets of all different shapes, and spend a night on the collective junk.
