• day 1

  Transfer from the airport to the hotel.

  

  Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will go through immigration and be warmly welcomed by our driver-guide, who will greet you to the land of a thousand hills, Rwanda. Then, you will be transferred to your reserved hotel for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: hotel "Chez Lando" Meals: dinner

• day 2

  Transfer to the Volcanoes National Park.

  

  Today, after your early breakfast at your hotel, you head to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center before heading to Musanze, close to the volcanoes, which is about a 2-hour drive. If time permits, you will make stops along the way to admire beautiful viewpoints. Later, you will go to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. • day 3

  Gorilla trekking and visit to the twin lakes of Burela and Ruhondo.

  

  Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will be transferred to the Volcanoes National Park tourism office for your gorilla trek briefing. You will enter the jungle to search for mountain gorillas and observe their way of life in their natural habitat. Then, you will return to your lodge for lunch, before continuing with a walk to the twin lakes of Burela and Ruhondo. You will return later to the hotel for dinner and overnight. • day 4

  Monkey trek and transfer to Lake Kivu for a visit with the fishermen.

  

  After your breakfast, you will leave for a hike with monkeys, where you will head into the jungle in search of monkeys. Then, you will go for a visit of the local culture to enjoy traditional dancers. Return later for lunch, before the transfer to Gisenyi (Lake Kivu). In the evening, you will head to Lake Kivu for an experience with the fishermen, where you can observe how the locals fish on their three-boat canoe. Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge. • day 5

  Congo-Nile Trail and boat on Lake Kivu

  

  Today, after your breakfast, set out for a short walk along the Congo Nile trail, which will offer you a beautiful countryside experience. As you pass through the locals' fields, you can chat with the local community before returning to your jeep to go to Kibuye. Along the Congo Nile trail, upon arriving in Kibuye, you will have lunch and spend the afternoon on a boat on Lake Kivu, with a visit to the different islands before heading to Ruzizi, to your reserved hotel. • day 6

  Chimpanzee trek in Nyungwe National Park

  

  Early in the morning, enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Nyungwe National Park for the chimpanzee trekking adventure in the mighty Nyungwe forest, before having lunch. In the afternoon, head to the tea plantation for the transformation experience. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. • day 7

  Walk in the canopy and drive to Kigali

  

  Today, after your breakfast, you will leave for a canopy walk in the heart of the forest. This 70-meter-long suspended metal bridge will offer you an excellent overview of the Nyungwe forest and may allow you to spot one or two primates during your crossing. Then, return by car to Kigali, with lunch en route, followed by a visit to the King Palace Museum. If time permits, you can also visit the local Kimironko market for shopping. • day 8

  Visit of the city of Kigali and transfer to Kigali airport.

  

  Today, after your early breakfast at the hotel, you will head for the Kigali city tour. You will visit the Nyamirambo Women's Center, discover the women's cooperatives and their excellent work, then visit the local Kimironko market before being transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
