Full-Day Game Drive in Tarangire National ParkYour day begins with an early breakfast, followed by a 7:00 am departure for Tarangire National Park, a 2.5-hour scenic drive from Arusha. Renowned for its majestic baobab trees and vast herds of elephants, Tarangire offers an incredible introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife. You will spend the day on a game drive, spotting diverse wildlife such as lions, leopards, and giraffes. At midday, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch within the park’s picturesque surroundings. Start of Marangu Trekking – Mandara HutAfter an early breakfast, depart at 7:00 am for the Marangu Gate, approximately 2 hours from Arusha. Here, you’ll begin your trek on Mount Kilimanjaro, walking through lush rainforests alive with the sounds of birds and monkeys. The day’s trek will lead you to Mandara Hut, located at an altitude of 2,720 meters. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Mandara Hut, offering a cozy resting place amidst nature.

Mandara Hut to Horombo HutToday’s trek takes you through moorland terrain as you ascend to Horombo Hut at 3,720 meters. The changing landscapes offer stunning views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. Take in the unique alpine flora, such as giant groundsels and lobelias, as you make your way up the mountain. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Horombo Hut, where you can relax and prepare for the next day.

Summit Day – Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak and Back to Horombo HutBegin your summit push at midnight under the starry sky. The climb to Uhuru Peak, Africa’s highest point at 5,895 meters, is the most challenging yet rewarding part of the trek. Witness the sunrise from the summit, a magical moment that makes every step worthwhile. After taking in the views, descend to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing to Horombo Hut. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Horombo Hut, marking the completion of an unforgettable day.
day 11:
Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate and DepartureThe final day of your adventure begins with a descent through lush forests to the Marangu Gate. Celebrate your achievement and receive a certificate for reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Afterward, transfer back to Arusha or Moshi for a farewell lunch. You will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey, bringing an end to your incredible safari and trekking experience.
