They are the Copts. The neighborhood is located in Old Cairo. Your exploration of this area begins with the El-Moallaqah Church. You will find its Catholic cemetery right next door, which is worth a visit for its tranquility and the beauty of some of the tombs. Then, head to the Coptic Museum to discover more about the remains of the ancient fortress. Visit the El Fustat district. The Copts were not the only ones to reside in Old Cairo. There is also the Ben Ezra Synagogue, which marks the entrance to the Jewish quarter. It is a former Egyptian church converted into a synagogue in the 12th century.

    Arrival in Luxor

Early in the morning, you will arrive at dawn in Luxor. On board the train, discover the landscapes of rural Egypt. Once arrived, you will set out to discover the mystical Valley of the Kings and Queens, with its 5 tombs to explore. But it is also an opportunity to enjoy the scenery: scattered at the foot of a rocky mountain, near a desert valley, the tombs are connected by small paths. You can also visit the Valley of the Nobles. In the afternoon, you will visit the temples of Karnak, which is undoubtedly the most magnificent site of Pharaonic Egypt. It is a gigantic complex that was built during the New Kingdom. Option: If you have time, you can optionally visit Banana Island, which is 5 km from Luxor. A pleasant small island where you can walk in peace and admire a unique sunset. In the evening, you can discover the Luxor Temple in a new light with the Sound and Light show.
